1500 England: what should my monthly profit be?

I'm making a decent amount of gold each month, but how much are the good players making WITHOUT lowering army maintenance (because everyone slides the slider down differently thus making an unfair sample)?

Depends on what your England is. Base England without Scotland etc and continental possessions, and no mercs should get some +9 per month. Naturally idea group chosen will influence that, if you go Economy first you get +10% tax quite fast.

Impossible to tell, I would say very little because you can always use more money, but you may wan't alot to if you are going for infrastructure.

Any significant profit means that your armies could be larger. Think about it. Money in the bank, above a certain buffer for mercs, event and the like, does absolutely nothing. Cash must be reinvested, so you get more cash to reinvest, so you get more cash to reinvest.

BTW putting army slider down is a very stupid thing to do. As England in particular there is zero reason.

If somebody decleare war on you and you have no moral you instatantly lose your army if they can attack it.

You may control alot of land outside of the Islands and have armies in range of enemies, also if you colonise you may want armies to keep natives in check.
