1399 France declaring war on shawnee

I've noticed that when I start a 1399 game, some countries declare war the native americans tribes almost immediatly when the game starts, obviously this is not supposed to happen. Is this to do something with my cache file? If so where can I find the directory address? I'm using the steam version.
Now I'm not really a computer savvy person, but I think I have found the steam files for EU3, but I don't want to delete anything that will screw up my game. Thanks for any help.

Clear your cache folder...

Find your Steam folder then: Steam -> steamapps -> common

EU3 should be in there, enter the map folder and delete the cache in there

Delete the chache folder as already mentioned, start the game, quit the game immediately and restart it again. Check your checksum.

There's a well known issue that if you select other start dates before starting the campaign in the menu it will mess up the scenario and nations like Portugal and France will know provinces they shouldn't know.

To avoid it from happening you should go back to main menu after browsing the start dates, then go back to scenario menu and select the date you wish.
