Played with two friends online yesterday, and first of all, it took us 3 times starting the game and restarting the game because of crashes before we could do any playing at all.
Then after about 20 minutes of playing, all our screens goes black simultanously.. we wait, give it a few minutes to see if it comes back. But eventually we have to kill the process, and start over again.

So we try again, and actually accomplish about 25 minutes of playing before the whole game starts jittering like back in the 1333 version. And about 15 minutes later it crashes by just closing the game down.

It's still got some heavy network problems aswell.

It's still an awesome game, and loads of fun, and I appreciate the hard work you're putting into it.

Bug report date 04 feb. 2011, dunno if it tells you anything:

I concur, I'm having the same issues. After a little while I'm having a massive framedrop. Last time me and my friends played the framerate suddenly took a nosedive, and we ended up falling through the ground and got teleported to the boss fight (chapter 11). Then, when we almost beat the dragon, the game crashed to desktop.

We were a little put off.

i get the massive framedrop also.
if you run fraps (or similar) im sure u will find that the frame rates are not consistent, even on a pause screen or the menu.

the frame rates dip slightly every 2 secs, like CLOCKWORK. sitting on server browser, ill be sitting at a flat 60 (vsync'd), then.. dip to 55ish, then back to 60.. repeat.
something isnt right somewhere.

I think this was an issue ever since the first release. I remember noticing random framedrops, anyway! Indeed, even in the menu every now and then the framerate will drop, kinda weird!
