Obscure incident - that's MY army!

While campaigning against the muslims as Bulgaria, I had an interesting incident. Somehow, the successor to the byzantine emperor had ended up in my court. Since army leaders are picked from the court, I had him sieging the muslims along with my king. Shortly, the siege was over and... the province became purple! The bastard had stolen my siege - with my own army!

Pretty obscure, yeah, but maybe inheritors should go to their new land and be replaced by Mr. Anonymous Commander instead of campaigning with someone else's army. :)

Now I would say this is an interesting side-effect.

Not sure if it was intended though...

He was not your marshal by any chance ?

Same thing for me. I was playing as Leon and was sieging Badajoz (second richest province in Iberia at that point) I was realy hapy becaus this was going to give me a nice and big regiment with muslim techs. :D

The army that I used composed of all my regiments from all my provinces.
And some how the owner of Badajoz (Emirate of Valencia) declared war on one of my vasals, wich at the time was one of the leaders for a regiment used in the siege. And he took comand of the siege and now he's the owner of Badajoz and I'm piss poor.

But I don't see how he could do that becaus before the Emirate of Valencia declared war on him the King of Leon was leading the siege. And as if that weren't enough he was the leader of that army after the seige. The only way to give the comand back to my king was to disband my vasals regiment.

had this experience too.. very annoying!!! still not fixed in 1.04a

I had my marshal crusading and controlling one of my armies while my Character controlled the other... I sent my Marshals army off to the canaries to pick up that province for my kingdom. and yes I did intended for him to become a vassal count with that as his home province.

in the middle of the battle he inheirited some bishops title who was a vassal from another Kingdom... France... and low and behold... when he conquers the province??? France gets the province... using MY ARMY!!! of course now my former marshal is a vassal of France and so are the Canary Islands. you think that a division would immediatly go to annonomous commander if a character is no longer in your court the same as what happens if a character dies!!!
