-120% IC!? A VH/Furious/AI can cheat USA Mod 34 AAR

Just a small overview of the start of the game. Game start date was the February 1, 1933 (The beginning of all 1933 scenario, still in beta)

Game options
67098941.jpg

This is America. Please note the -120% IC in the top right corner.
27249880.jpg

Only thing to note under Intelligence are the number of spies in our country.

32054977.jpg

Under Technology, until we can get positive IC these two techs will be the only things we will be researching. With the starting $100 and the tech teams costing $3.8 a day, they can last about 26 days before we will have to trade for money.
63835229.jpg
69365636.jpg
59231814.jpg

Under Production, more then -100% IC we can not make anything. Heck, we don't even earn money from Consumer Goods!

13140490.jpg

Our cabinet. Only thing to not is that I can't change any of them until January 1, 1936 only because we have no one to change them with.

17831217.jpg

One slider move to Standing Army.

10320231.jpg

And last, but not least, on January 2, 1933 we get this. All 4 options show "No Immediate Effects" so we have no ideal what cheats the AI can use under "AI can use all cheats".

Set your Consumer Goods slider all the way to the right... it will still be zero, but that will stop daily Dissent from increasing.

-120% IC!? A VH/Furious/AI can cheat USA Mod 34 AAR Part 2

February 2, 1933: We just remember about our old navy and supplying it. (Hence the -70.2 in supplies.) Instead of disbanding the navy, we take the lazy way out. We let the computer handle our trades.

86099315.jpg

February 5, 1933: Three days later, problem solved! See, it pays to be lazy.

34816757.jpg

February 5, 1933: Even with over -100% IC, you still bring in resources.

83846017.jpg

February 16, 1933: Someone tried to kill Mr. Frank. He survives.

40213566.jpg

February 27, 1933: With our starting $100 almost gone, we have to take action. Time to trade! (Rant: I love it how auto trade won't trade for cash.)

69759345.jpg

Yes, I know what you are thinking, but they did not cancel these trades the next day.

99875627.jpg

March 19, 1933: Yeah, we can research Nukes now! Or at least we can start when I have positive IC.

77020230.jpg

April 6, 1933: Yeah, finally some positive IC! To the banks with your gold people! Your country needs you!

92525230.jpg

Yeah! -118% IC, after the dissent of course.

42168536.jpg

The funny thing about nothing is....people still want it. Take nothing away and dissent raises. Give them just the right amount of nothing and they are content. Give them extra nothing and dissent lowers.

-120% IC!? A VH/Furious/AI can cheat USA Mod 34 AAR Part 3

April 20, 1933: Today, the President took the US off the gold standard. For some reason, this made a few people angry and a few people go back to work.

42415555.jpg

Yeah! -117% IC, after the dissent of course.

94957749.jpg

June 16, 1933: Out project "Marxist Economy" is complete. Sure, we get +7.0 to our Peacetime IC, +5.0 IC to our Tech Effect, two slider moves toward Central Planning and one slider move toward Political Left, we also get....

34769458.jpg

Money! $500 worth! We use the money to hire some tech teams to research for us! That, and we are now at -105% IC.

70976099.jpg

July 4, 1933: W00t! July fourth! Time to party!

49607445.jpg

July 27, 1933: Yeah, finally! Our second project "Wartime Industrial Base" is complete! Sure, we get five dissent, but we also get +18.0% to our Peacetime IC and +7.0% to our Tech effect! Which brings us to a total of -80% IC!

78442371.jpg

And we also get our first democracy event! Of course, being a democracy means being an open society so we take the extra 10 dissent.

51597330.jpg

Sure, we gained a total of 15 dissent in a single day, but we are also down to -80% IC and since we are below -100% IC, we can make money with consumer goods! The extra money is used to track down and kill spies.

54338408.jpg

October 20, 1933: Still putting everything in consumer goods, Liberia gives us a blueprint! Thank Liberia!

57006972.jpg

December 2, 1933: Gee, thanks game. Kick a poor county while it is down, don't you? Oh well, more time in consumer goods.

-120% IC!? A VH/Furious/AI can cheat USA Mod 34 AAR Part 3

Update of the nation and world: 1934

Welcome to the standard yearly update of the USA and the world. It is now February 1, 1934.

For our standard slider move, we move another spot toward Standard Army. The two moves toward Central Planning were due to our Marxist Economy tech.

Production wise, when the dissent is gone, we will have 49 IC to work with. All of our resources are in the positive (even if the screen shot does not show it). Extra resources will be traded away for supplies.

Spy wise, extra money will be spend killing all spies in the USA. Once all spies in the USA are killed, spies will be sent to other countries to steal their blueprints.

Intel wise, we are under 100% due to a rush to IC raising techs and manpower raising techs. Once all the easy to reach manpower raising techs are completed, only techs that have blueprints or techs that are under skill 6 will be research until we are at 150% research speed. Once 150% researched speed is reached, only then will research into the Industrial branch (where most techs lower research speed) commence.

And finally, the standard non-aggression pacts with everyone in the Americas and Italy.

14254138.jpg

Military wise nothing has been made so nothing has changed.

Hey, forget my PM, as I think I see what is going on here.

This is America. Please note the -120% IC in the top right corner.

Could I ask a favor? Leave off the center code, ok?:D

When I quoted your post, I noticed the center code, and that doesn't seem to work the way one would expect. Also, if you hit the [return] key after the period following the word corner, it will fix the problem with your map being so far to the right.

And welcome to the forums!

-120% IC!? A VH/Furious/AI can cheat USA Mod 34 AAR Part 4

February 10, 1934: No more dissent and after consumer goods, we have 21.45 IC to work with. Time to build some Infantry!

77824695.jpg

February 19, 1934: Liberia gives us another blueprint. Thanks Liberia!

81447620.jpg

April 13, 1934: Another blueprint, this time from scientist defecting from Colombia. A program will be set up to give free milk and cookies to defecting scientists.

83428264.jpg

May 10, 1934: Our first troops are made. They will the first of many.

50192719.jpg

July 4, 1934: W00t! Independence Day! Everyone party!

96911037.jpg

August 26, 1934: Our Foreign Policy is attacked. While most people would pick "Revise the policy" for the free slider move in Interventionism and Hawk Lobby, we "Strike a bargain with the Market Liberals" for a slider move in Free Market. Why, you ask? You'll find out next year.

71556648.jpg

September 19, 1934: War is Asia. *yawn*

32578094.jpg

October 6, 1934: Catalonia declares independence. Of course, it doesn't help that all three of their provinces (Huesca, Tarragona and Barcelona) were occupied by Republican Spain the second independence was declared.

36904541.jpg

October 7, 1934: And Catalonia is no more.

42592675.jpg

October 9. 1934: Peace in Asia. *yawn*

510g.jpg

October 10, 1934: King Alexander I of Yugoslavia is assassinated.

511y.jpg

October 16, 1934: Wait, five dissent and minus five IC?! Oh come on!

512u.jpg

October 24, 1934: A conference in London, talking about ships. Thanks for the minus dissent.

513uot.jpg

November 3, 1934: Seems that no one can make up their mind at the conference in London. Still, we pick "Seek a final agreement" for the positive relations.

514c.jpg

November 3, 1934: Ban those Fascist Parties! They are a bunch of lying punks! We went to one of their parties, and it was a BYOB party! Boo!

516l.jpg

November 6, 1934: Oh, our first random Mod 34 event. More oil is good.

517qxt.jpg

November 23, 1934: Yeah, lets anger Japan. In fact, that will be our new policy toward Japan: "Angering Japan for fun and profit".

518r.jpg

January 2, 1935: Looks like Hungry might be involved in the assassination of King Alexander I of Yugoslavia.

519z.jpg

January 7, 1935: I love the new deal.

520d.jpg

January 8, 1935: Too bad the new deal leaves us with the negative money. All IC is put into consumer goods until we have positive money.

521o.jpg

January 8, 1935: We have a chance to join the League of Nations but we say no. Sure, one slider move toward Interventionism for seven dissent is worth it, but not when you consider the events one will get in the next few years.

522j.jpg

January 30, 1935: We get +2% IC to Tech Effect, just before the yearly review.

523i.jpg

Yeah! -78% IC now!

Yearly review of the US and the world coming next.

-120% IC!? A VH/Furious/AI can cheat USA Mod 34 AAR Part 5

Update of the nation and world: 1935

Intel wise, once a base of over $1000 is saved up, all spies will be tracked down and killed. Then spies will be sent out to the Axis/Allies/Comintern/Japan to steal blueprints.

65329496.jpg

Research wise, we are currently at 101%. With two manpower techs totaling -9% to be researched, we hope to be back at 100% by the year of 1936.

95794325.jpg

Production wise, we have 27.61 IC after consumer goods. Production of infantry will continue. Only the last infantry production has a gearing bonus.

92002188.jpg

Slider wise, another move toward Standing Army.

14949346.jpg

Military wise, the USA has produced seven infantry and Liberia has produced two infantry.

You know, I just noticed something. The Mod 34 Balkan Cluster Fark event didn't fire! Allow me to explain...

On October 9, 1934 the following event fires.

extrah.jpg

And in the AAR, it did fire.

511y.jpg

A second event is to fire between October 1, 1934 and January 1, 1935.

extra2t.jpg

And in the AAR, it did fire.

519z.jpg

Our problem comes into play with the third event.

extra3.jpg

The second event needs to fire for the third event to fire. The third event fires on December 10, 1934 but our second event didn't fire until January 2, 1935. Therefor, we missed the BCF. Pity.
