The 101st Heavy Tank Battalion ( Michael Wittmann's unit), whilst not officially apart of the 12 SS, came under direct command of Kurt Meyer, the commander of the 12 SS.
Michael Wittman's famous demise was him leading seven of his Tigers in a counterattack that proved unsuccessful.
I'd like to see these tigers appear in game. Maybe, one Tiger in phase B, and three slots of two Tigers in phase C.
I know that there's an argument against this idea because Tigers, but from previews at rezzed, we saw that Tiger E's were 280 points each, had AP 16 (which means that the more heavily armoured tanks like the Jumbo or AVRE would be immune at long range), and their front armour is only 13, so any decent AT gun is going to pen.
The other argument is that Tigers weren't officially attached to the 12th SS, but neither were Jumbos in the 3rd armoured, or AVRE's to the 15th Infantry, nor were any French tanks in the 91st LuftLande, they were all external units supporting these divisions, so why not give the 12th SS the 101st?
Any thoughts?
