Just wondering what that was that i downloaded through Steam for CK2, as i see no recent dates in my game folder......maybe i'm just tired..

Yeah the _CommonRedist folder was affected, but now the folders in there are just empty ?
No files for directx or visualc++ anymore ? I don#t se them anywhere else.
Looks as if stuff got deleted, not the other way round.

Update and answer (repost):

Libraries (NET, Visiual c++, directx , etc) get deleted in each game folder inside the Steam folder,
as they are now apparently in one central folder once for all games. Saves space.
That's all that happens, as it appears.

The libraries get downloaded into that new folder, so not much to fear for folks with a capped max download.

They are now in
SteamApps/common/Steamworks Shared/_CommonRedist
