Its sure is a day to remember with this patch( 1 + ) and the trail of B.... is hopefully ended.

A question --

I try do do things in an organized way. I have my original AOD 102 on an external hard drive untouched. When I copied it back on to my computer and tried to load the game (version 102) it crashes after I start the 1936 scenario every time.

However, after I load the final 108 patch it over top of 102 it runs fine (SUBR) -- and it ran fine with all the patches over the last year or so. But not the original game now???

What new file is missing from the original game that is required to run the game that is included in the patch? Is it perhaps the "SetPermissions" file?

Just curious. If so, is this why some people who recently got the AOD game cannot run it -- because it need this file, or whatever file is needed?

Just trying to help.

Well, this is what actually worries me a little bit re its adaptation to the E3 map. But this won't stop me from doing it. ;)

One thing that may need to be mentioned is that 108 is not savecompatible with 107. The Great Patriotic War events have been changed, running old saves with 108 might lead to some strange org/moral values for the USSR. Other changes may have more subtle effects with unkown results. Therefore it is highly recommended to use only new savegames.

I find it a bit odd that in Final 108 that the starting Axis nations, USSR, and Nat. China (GER, ITA, SOV, JAP, AUS and some others) have been given infrastructure build lines in their 1936 production que whereas it appears that the Allies (FRA, ENG, USA) have been given no such lines for the AI player -- the human can of course build it.

Is it not true that "What is good for the goose is good for the gander?"

Was this due to an oversite or just merely indifference?
