Hey everyone,

I want to know how I can go about creating a "custom" duchy with the Venaissin CoA comprising the counties of Venaissin and Vivrais in my Orsini dynasty playthough.

Any and all assistance on this matter will be appreciated.

Thanks :)

edit: I've been told you can do this by playing as nomad, but given how far away the Steppes are from Rome I doubt this solution is practical.

I've also heard if you reach a demesne limit of 35(?) a duchy is possible to be made but again, this seems too much.

Ideally I wish to accomplish this without modding, as I enjoy hoovering up achievements in Iron Man mode. I freely admit my reasoning to be purely aesthetic, the CoA of the Orsini dynasty go well with the Papal keys which feature on the county of Venaissin and both compliment a Rosicrucian playstyle via the Hermetic Society.

I believe that graphical changes don't change the checksum. So, it should be possible to replace the CoA for your chosen duchy with the Venaissin CoA without changing the checksum or disabling achievements.
Thanks for the reply, I was worried at first I'd get no response due to the admittedly rather menial nature of my query.

I probably will require a step-by-step guide as to what folder/file change(s) need to change. The provinces of Venaissin and Vivrais are in different duchies (Provence and Dauphines, respectively) so I guess you're recommending I switch the graphics around enabling the duchy of Provence say to have the CoA of the county of Venaissin and Provence having my desired CoA.

Thanks for jonjowett, look forward to hearing back from you.

Yeah, I can't help you with the step-to-step guide, but you could try asking on the mod forum.
