1066 Alternative Culture, Kingdom and Duchy Mod for patch 1.05

Hi,

This is the 1066 Alternative Culture, Kingdom and Duchy Mod BETA version.

This mod only works with the 1066 Hastings scenario, I haven't modified the other two scenarios, so if you use this mod with those scenario's you will get all kind of weird stuff. Since I only play with the 1066 scenario's I don't really bother myself with the other two.

Before installing this mod, back all the originial files.

I made this mod, to my own liking. It is not 100% historically correct and doesn't attempt to be either, I have just modded the things I liked to mod. :)

Made the following changes
- Ugric culture added (for the Mordvins in the 1066 scenario) (I had one free culture tag)
- Andalucian (In Muslim Iberia, a 'dark' culture but not with Arabic names) (Have merged Cuman and Pecheneg into Kipchak culture and use Pecheneg for Andalucian)
- Kingdom of Andalusia in Southern Iberia
- Added some dynasties on the Faeryar and Shetlands (last one thanks to Ayesthani :) )
- William the Conquerer starts with the realm duress trait
- The Leofricson dukes start with the rebellious trait
- The province-incomes of Ireland, Scotland and Wales have been increased
- Byzantine empire and Seljuks start at peace with each other
- Weimar now belongs to the duchy of Thuringia instead of Saxony
- Removed kingdom of Sardinia (to small really)
- Renamed duchy of Friuli back to Krain (can't decided what it should be)
- Renamed county of Aargau to county of Habichtsburg (a leftover from my von Habsburg AAR)
- Added a character in the county of Faereyar (a bastard named Godfraidh, he is pure fictional)
- Changed the Breton character names
- The duchy of Lothian is now uncreated at the start, the count of Berwick is a vassal of the duke of Galloway
- Included are some changed Coat of Arms (for duchy of Benevento f.e.)
- Have renamed Dietsch culture to Flemish culture (it sounds nicer )
- And some other things that I have forgotten :)

Version 1.02
- Made Stettin a province of default kingdom of Poland, somehow it had become part of the default kingdom of Finland
- Made Richard of Aversa, duke of Capua (but he still gets excommunicated every time)
- Took the duchy of Normandy title from Robert de Normandie and gave it to his father king William. The AI king immediately gives it to Robert after the start
- Added some nicknames to character (Robert Curthose de Normandie, William Rufus de Normandie)

- Gave Robert Guiscard de Hauteville claims on the duchy and county of Capua (the claims were lost somehow in version 1.02)

- Gave the tribe of Mecklemburg its own tag and renamed it to Obodrites

- Reintroduced the Scottish culture and added it to the southern Scottish provinces. This still might need some tweaking, the rulers are still Gaelic culture, might also need some change.
- Renamed the duchy of Pinsk-Turov to Turov
- Added some characters to Croatia and Slavonia to link the king with the duke, conform Improvement Pack 2
- Renamed Rogneda of Polotsk to Ragnhild Ragnvaldsdottir of Polotsk and made her a daughter of Ragnvald of Norway
- Increased the base-income of the province of Polotsk and Bergenhus with 1
- Redid the Breton character names list

Weakening the Muslims and Pagans
- Fatimid, Cumans and Seljuk kingdoms have lost their 'duke-level' vassals. Those duke-lever vassals are now independent
- The Iberian Emirs have lost their 'count-level' vassals, Those vassals are now independent

These changes have made the Muslims/Pagans weaker, this means an easier target for the human player. If you want a challenge play with strict houserules. If you leave those regions alone, you might see the AI Spanish kingdoms and the AI-kingdom of Georgia survive :)

Scotland has seen some major changes, most of them were at some point
suggested by Calgacus. But in his suggestions he wasn't always consistent, f.e. in the set-up of the duchy of Galloway.

Briefly the duchy of Argyll was renamed to Lennox, but Argyll just sounds better to me.

Argyll is now uncreated
- Made a character called Domnall McRuardi count of Buchan
- The former duke of Albany, count of Buchan and Mar is now

Charactes changes

County of Gelre
Removed the bond between the counts of Gelre (van Wassenberg) and the dukes of Flanders (van Vlaanderen) instead of that added Arnulf of Valenciennes as the earliest ancestor

County of Kleve
Added this county, Rutger von Kleve and his son Dietrich. They are related to the van Wassenberg and a vassal of the duke of Saxony

Duchy of Saxony
Added Hermann Billung, an uncle of duke Magnus Billung.
Added Albert de Namur, husband of Ida Billung, the aunt of duke Magnus.

County of Loon
Added Heinrich de Namur as a courtier, he is the brother of Albert de Namur. They had 2 aunts, one was a countess of Loon and her sister the duchess of Upper Lorraine. In the vanilla game those 2 sisters weren't related, now they are.

County of Brabant

The countess of Brabant now has her own family, who are related to the counts of Pfalz.

County of Anhalt
Added a nephew, named Fridric Goseck to the existing count. He is a bastard

County of Lausitz
Greatly expanded the von Wettin dynasty

County of Pfalz
Greatly expanded the von Bonngau (Ezzonen) dynasty. Most of them were abbots and are placed in the provinces where they were abbots (Metz en Thuringia)

County of Niederbayern
Expanded and modified the von Wittelsbach/von Schweinfurt dynasty

County of Passau
Expanded the von Passau dynasty

County of Steiermark
Added Markward von Eppenstein and his family. He had been the duke of Carinthia and around 1070 would become duke of Carinthia again. He has a claim on te county of Kärnten and the duchy of Carinthia

County of Neuchatel
Renamed the dynasty from von Venis to von Neuenburg

County of Verdun
Louis Montbeliard is made count of Verdun, instead of his son Dietrich of Bar. Louis is also been given the county of Sundgau. Louis also has a claim on the duchy of Upper Lorraine.The dynasty is renamed to 'de Mousson' and has received the Frankish culture, Dietrich = Thierry. And the dynasty is enlarged.

County of Metz
Expanded and modified the of Metz dynasty

County of Plauen
Gave Adalheid Askanien her husband, Thimo and her son Esiko.

County of Treviso
Turned this republic into a county, ruled by Raimboldo di Treviso

County of Salerno
Gave the count of Salerno some more brothers.

Duchy of Apulia
Added Godfrey de Convessano and his family as courtiers. Godfrey was a nephew of duke Robert Guiscard. His youngest daughter Sybilla would marry duke Robert Curthose of Normandy in real history.
Godrey could be made into the count of Lecce (Brindisi)

Modifided realm_disruption event file

- removed the event that gives muslims and pagans stat bonuses
- made it more likelier for the large Muslima and Pagan realms to get 'realm duress' just like Byzantium and Germany
 
could you please update this for 2.1b? I want to play as the Khazars and they are no where to be found. Maybe they were removed in 2.1b. I don't know. I used the Muslim/pagan patch, but stil NO Khazars.

This mod, doesn't make the Kazhars playable.
