I'm playing AOD 1.07 with IC 1.1 + Rev 7. I changed the amount of research teams in the misc.txt found in the db folder from 5 to 10. However, I am starting to think that this change might be a bit too much for IC. I started out as Germany in '33 Campaign and by '38 I had 7 tech teams which was nice. I was really starting to get things rolling.

I curiously checked the US and with over 400 national ic they had the full 10 teams and had a staggering amount of technology already researched, plus they were researching at about 190%. Way ahead of me in terms of technology.

So does anyone have an opinion on changing the tech teams to 10. I see below in the misc.txt one can change the the amount of ic required per each tech team. Currently it is at 20. Maybe 100 would be better?

I think that you should be able to trade blueprints with out being in an alliance like that back in the original HOI. This will of set the advantage that the major powers had with more tech teams by allowing minors to trade and "buy" the blue prints from the majors. This will speed up the research capability of minors and keep the ability of majors to research rush a certain tech if they want.

Another posibility is if the game could "code" the slots over 5. Like slot six would only be used for doctrine type reserch. Slot 7 for naval or air, Slot 8 for infantry, Slot 9 for armour, slot 10 for industrial. That way you would force the larger powers to diversify their research a little more.
