10-20 people NON-PLAYER pbem game!

I do have some serious computer problems at the moment. My old computer crashed completely a few days ago and the new one I have bought has problems too. I can exchange it next week on Tuesday or Wednesday (it's a warranty issue but unfortunately the replacement computer is't in store at the moment). So I will not be much online till next week (however if necessary I will visit an internet cafe).

Because I have a long weekend next week (Thursday till Sunday) I don't know if I can send my orders in time. This is also dependant on issues I have to resolve with Owen and Aldo.
I'll do my best and if they cooperate (this means react fast) I think I will be able to send my orders in time.

Anyway, I appreciate in advance the cooperation of you all in this matter.

The re-run was not the only issue. It was part of the problem ,but not the whole thing.
As I said, you can ask him to explain a bit more, since I don't want to put words in his mouth, nor post his explaination from a PM.

I think we must do something with the inflation of France. Actually, why is that France goes bankrupt as often?
I propose to lower the France's inflation to the level of the country who has the highest inflation among player countries. It is just an idea...

Sounds fine to me, but I'd want to remove a load of their forts to make up for it and try to work out what the problem is.

On other issues, is the next turn going to be a week on Saturday Daniel? More to the point, have you had your final exam now?

I really don't know what is motivation of French AI to build up so many forts and also civil officers this turn. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep, next turn will be played on Saturday week after. My final exam is on 10th of July.

I tried a run with removing a lot of the french army and lowering the inflation to ~60%. It resulted in no bankruptcies for the next decade, so that might be the solution

At the same time I think the fortresses of France should be lowered a bit, something like half of the 53 large fortresses down to medium size and the other half to small size. This would still make France one of the best defended coutnries (though not as good as Sweden )

The only thing is, that's exactly what I did for France previously, and they immediately got back into the bankruptcy cycle. Perhaps the French ai also needs to have the American natives removed from their attack list.

In other news, I'm very busy at work and home and trying to finish off moving house at the same time. I will hopefully have my home machine up and running again soon, at which time I will be back on ICQ again in the evening. I'd be grateful if any diplomacy got done as soon as possible, and I'll try to kick a few things off tomorrow morning.

Furthermore I like to inform you that I will be less online than usual till half September, because I'm going to do a lot of hikes.

This is especially the case in the following periods :
9 August - 23 August and 30 August - 12 September when I will not be online at all. I'm visiting Vienna, Bratislawa and Czechia in the first period and I'm doing a big hike in the French Alpes in the second period in case you are interested.

So I'm afraid I will miss a number of turns during these periods, unless we can work something out. I hope that will be possible.

In the time you specified (9-23 August) and also this month between 17th-23rd I'll be off too. So it's probably time when I won't be able to run game normally.

I anyone else have such holiday plans, let us know so we can plan NPPBEM for this summer period to meet everyone's time possibilities.

Speaking of future plans, I will be able to play normally until the end of august.
After this period, I guess it will be difficult for me to continue the game (but not impossible until end of september, it is not clear yet) as I have decided to leave France in the end of the summer and return back to my homeland in Greece to join the army, probably in the end of september.
I will keep you informed of my status in the game.

If you have anything agains such short time till deadline, let me know. It's last possible term for me because on 18th July I'm going off for about week. So if we don't play the turn till Friday, it'll be played on 25th or 26th of this month at earliest.
