Here's an image from the Paradox stream earlier, where they showed off brief glimpses of the new disaster system, promising more information in the next dev diary.

While the new disaster system seems fairly interesting and far less random than the old "Popup of Doom" system they had going on before, it seems this system has forced the War Exhaustion and Stability windows to be far smaller. A change resulting in the regression of the War Exhaustion display, making it no longer show the rate at which your War Exhaustion raises or lowers explicitly, in favor of a simple arrow and what I am assuming is a tooltip with the numbers attached.

So I'm wondering what people think of the change, and the loss of instant access to relevant information. I realize the window is cramped and it was likely changed in an attempt to save space, but War Exhaustion is really important information, and having to hover over that little arrow puts another barrier between me and that information.

Also there is a huge amount of space for disasters in that window. More Peasant War type events incoming?

Would it be better if we could see the changes in WE directly without hovering over an arrow? Yes.
Is it an important problem? No.

However, for what its worth, I think paradox should instead reduce the "reduce"-button in the WE-display. There is no reason for the button to be large enough to contain the word "reduce", it could just be a "-" or a shorter word like "handle", and even if it is super-important that it says "reduce" the size could still be cut, while keeping the word within the box. This would make room for an actual number disaplying WE-change instead of just an arrow.

It's still beta, the size will probably change ;)

That ^ and:

Oh no. I now have to hover over an arrow to get specific information. The horror.

Some people need to learn how to use sarcasm. You might have spent 2 million hours on the game, but some take a relaxed stance to it and would like to have info readily available not fumbling out over a screen.

The info is there. It's there in the form of an arrow, which is good enough for most purposes. Honestly, how often do you even check how fast you are getting WE, anyway?

I'd probably make the disasters take only the width stability does, since it looks like that would be enough. However, it's not a big deal, the rate of WE change is rarely important since it tends to vary so much depending on where your troops move.

Given my play style after every war, which is quite often, but as I said that doesn't matter.

I wouldn't mind if WE got its own line in the interface, but this isn't so bad.

I understand your concern, but I believe games like this, more information ( without clutter on the UI ) that is put out there allows for more widely varied play styles.
If you dont need the info, it is a small arrow only, if you do want it, just hover over icon. Your degree of Micromanage is covered without numerous mouse clicks

After war? When you know it reads -0.10 unless you have relevant ideas?

Ill repeat again: Not everyone knows this, not everyone has spent a million hours on the game. And I always check my modifiers, because its not always 0.10 there are a ton of things that can affect it. Maybe you guys know them from heart but a new player would be fumbling.

Its not about me, its about how easily info is been accessed and therefore assessed for not veteran players.

EDIT: And knowing this forum so much ^not implying I am a veteran.

Sure, but if you can still get the information from the tooltip, it should be something you only need to look at a few times, since the tooltip tells you what affects it.

I don't feel strongly either way. However, more information is also not always better as the screen is very cluttered already.

Disasters section? Is this just a re-arrangement of the negative modifiers usually showing in the first tab or a completely new thing?

They can just make it to fold and unfold, so everyone would be happy I guess.

New. They've remade "Peasants' War" & co to make it similar to unrest.
