[1.9] Freeze at new game and/or after pick your galaxy setting

There are two different freeze point. Sometime the first one at main menu new game get me. Sometime I manage to get to species selection and move to galaxy selection clicking a new game from there.

For some reason it always freeze up at either point. Afterward which stellaris become completely unresponsive.

I used to play Stellaris on this PC a long time ago. Since then I have gotten a new video card and re-install a fresh one without mod.

Windows 10 64 bit
Ryzen 1700X
Vega 64 video card
16 GB RAM

I can't think of any good reason why it would freeze up on me.

This is almost certainly the bugs in the AMD Vega drivers that cause so much trouble with this game.

I have one report that their 17.9.3 version works, so I'd suggest you try that:
