I think I am the most exited about the intersection rules for trains and the noise pollution rework.
The trains because I think that it helps a lot with making etter railroad layouts.
The noise pollution because I hope that it is going to matter now, because at the moment you totally don't have to care.

No gas stations yet? It would add more realism because gas stations need to be strategically placed or cars will run out of gas in the middle of the road.

Pleeeeeease introduce medium density in the expansion after Green Cities!

On a side note: Farm-only industrial zones to create huge farms (10x10 or even bigger) would be awesome too. Nothing better than a huge city surrounded by small farm towns. The farms just don't feel right. They are way too tiny.

I think it would be nice to have better looking gas stations (there are some in the workshop), but having to strategically place them seems like pushing a rock up a hill. I'd put it in the same category as the suggestion to have to run cable TV, internet, phone lines and place cell towers. It's (I suppose) more realistic, but is in necessary for a game? Does it actually add fun? Not in my opinion.

Next we'll have to make sure every block has a Tim Hortons.

They are switching to electric cars anyway. ;)
I think I saw charging stations.

It's really too late to add this to the game; it should have been there from the beginning. Cars and especially trucks importing and exporting goods need gasoline. Unfortunately they didn't add this to the game. Is it fun to have to place gas stations? I would answer that question by asking "is it fun to place water and sewage lines or electrical pylons (and even more fun to have to bulldoze them when they are no longer needed)?". Is it fun to have to place police stations, fire stations, schools, in every new neighborhood you build? And heaven forbid you fail to remember to place death services in a new area. You'll pay dearly for that error. However, that is what the game demands. Gas stations actually used by vehicles should also have been added.

You are right. There are new charging stations for electric cars that are actually and by necessity used by such cars; but prior to the introduction of such vehicles, I believe that gas should also have been a necessity.

I was perhaps a little grumpy late last night, and overreacted a little. It really wouldn't really be as bad as running cable/internet and whatnot, which I don't like. I think because there is enough of that sort of thing already (water/sewer, power), and it doesn't really add anything more beyond "you have to do it". There are those who don't even want to have to do water/power and wanted it included in the roads.

Yes, it is similar to police, fire, hospitals and so on. I think that is why I don't really like it. As in my cable/internet example above, there is enough of those kind of things already without having to add another. In the past I used gas stations from the workshop, and I liked using them, but it was something I could put where I wanted, not because you had to. I am mostly a "city painter" type player, and while I do want some mechanics, I don't want too much minutiae.

Shouldn't the game demand something of you? I know that just "painting" a city is fine; but I do believe that you should have to do some things annoying as they may be. I too, for the most part, "paint" cities; but I do enjoy the fact that the game demands I do certain things; otherwise we could just use Unlock All and Unlimited Money and do whatever we wish. This is OK for some fun, but not much of a game. There should be some challenges.

I think it should demand something, and I have played all this year without unlimited money, and have been unlocking everything (mostly again, as I had them all unlocked before ND, when my old HDD quit). I'm down to 2x European ones, which really just need my current city to get bigger, a bunch of winter ones, and Sparkly Unicorn Park thing (and Doomsday Vault).

I get easily annoyed by power demand going up and down, as while I could just massively overproduce, I prefer not to. More money coming in means faster building of everything else. If I could turn a bunch of windmills on/off at once by drag selecting them and doing them with one click it wouldn't be so bad. To me that is a fiddly thing, not a challenge.
