Appreciated and nice that you want to add new stuff constantly, but could you please focus on solely fixing bugs in 1.9? Instead of adding "silly" things like those achievements. For every new feature you add, there will be tons of reactions that you will have to spend time dealing with instead of eliminating genuine bugs.

One example to fix is the changed inflation and war exhaustion mechanics, allowing them as of 1.8 to be reduced from whatever value. I have nothing against the mechanics in vanilla, but you have changed the definition of the applicable items in defines.lua (without adding new items), rendering the modded concepts (that instead introduced gradual reductions of war exhaustion and inflation) useless.

honestly. I don't see the point to this topic since achievements barely tech any coding time at all and won't create new bugs so it seems fine to do that while working on bugs.

The achievements may not add bugs but it is likely that they will cause reactions from players thst will divert attention and resources from bug fixing. And 1.9 will include other stuff than achievements, I reckon.

Use that time to fix bugs instead, is my simple plea to Paradox.

You realize putting all those achievements in is practically a lunch break's worth of time and isn't going to take much time from bug fixes.

Sometimes someone will get burned out looking for an error in the same code again and again and it would HELP if they go do something else like write a few fun achievements that are easy to put in so they can get back to bugs with a fresh mind. Have you ever done any coding in your life? Bug fixing can make your brain into a tomato and sometimes you need to refocus and return.

I'm not saying they shouldn't fix bugs like that weird vassal income boost thing supposedly helping when you are a vassal, but I don't think this would have any effect on the timeline it takes to fix a bug.

Again x 2: Achievements are just an example. There will be more new content presented in mini-DD's, if I get it right.

EDIT: And yes, I have done coding in my life, EU3 and EU4 modding as well as at work. But I don't see why you need to go personal just because I question their priorities?

Lol, if I worked at Paradox I could see new achievements popping out of my head while I'm sleeping so don't think it would waste any time:p

Lol, given how stupid ("fördummande") and ridiculous some of these achievements are, I can well imagine that's how they were created... :)
