So i tried the 1776 start with the DLC to see how the new provinces would affect USA, and i have to say it's completely OP.

USA on this start has one of the strongest economy in the world (equivalent to GB in income) and can afford to recruit dozens and dozens of additional regiments in addition to what they already have, and it doesn't take to long to completely overpower great britain on the seas (there's no real fight on land)

To make matters worse, USA is at war with GB but not with any of GB's colonies, which makes it incredibly easy to win the war, as the only opposition you'll face will be some 20-something stack freshly landed on your coastline . Some Indian (from india) minors really seemed interested in this war though, and travelled half the globe in their dhows to fight the americans x)

So several conclusions :

- This DLC is broken on new patch, as usual.
- Additional provinces in north america seems to make it really really really powerful, even for just the Thirteen colony region (the 50% Local Autonomy for colonized provinces doesn't seem to apply to later start dates ?)
- In hindsight selling a DLC that is linked to a specific startdate and designed to only work with this date seem like a really bad idea (hard to maintain through updates, difficult to adjust with new fetures). I think at this point it would be more honest for Paradox to remove this DLC from sale altogether, if they don't plan to update properly over time.

Colonial Nations aren't subject to the 50% autonomy floor for colonized provinces.

The issue is they are still charging for this DLC that is designed specifically to work with this start date. But it isn't fun in the slightest.

Colonial Nations aren't subject to the 50% autonomy floor for colonized provinces.

The US at this point are not a Colonial Nation anymore but a normal one, so i don't know what behaviour is intended. Bottom line is without this penalty the USA in 1776 are one of the strongest nation in the world, only rivaled by france, spain, russia etc.

Apparently there is also an issue with Russian siberia that doesn't have the 50% LA floor on later start date.

just did the achievement a few days ago. the income thanks to production nets over 100 every month. that's ridiculous high but understandable, thanks to the increase of the provinces. secondly, the achievement is a joke. I annexed a couple Indians and that's it. said increase of provinces killed the achievement.

and can someone explain where this imperialism cb on the whole world comes from? such a cb as a """weak""" ex-colonial nation on European nations seems like a joke.

Everyone gets it on Admin tech 22 or 28 i think

This is another thing they did for AoW iirc. For me it destroy completely the concept of Casus Belli in late game, and the fact you have to invest into certain Ideas to get specific CBs. It should only affect neighbors IMO.

Thats the problem when people want a more detailed RotW AND waht that RotW not all being 1 basetax provinces. You can only do it by also increasing the number of European provinces.

It would make sense to give a lot of the provinces the USA starts with significant local autonomy, wouldn't it? Both in historic terms and gameplay-wise. They were still largely independent territories that had banded together.

It's not just colonial nations, but also all nations that were ever colonial nations. Go start a game, make a big colonial nation in whatever region (except California, Australia, or Alaska), release it, play as it, and form whatever formable you have. You'll still get the CN bonus.

The Siberian thing is something else.

its abit op that colonies can get 0 autonomy lands while everybody else not.. At least make it so they get no permanent autonomy while they are still colony and colonizing, and once they become free, they can only colonize with same rules as everybody else..
