Unbalanced sound better? None of the new implementations work as intended.
In 50 years you literaly swim in money, muscovy AI it's laughable, Rome is always converted by the reformations, ottomans join the religious leagues wich is not "alternate history" but totally impossible history, castille or portugal still colonizing siberia, counters and trade are totally messed up, the distance bug and core bug when forming a nation and many others.
The balancing and poor AI is the real problem, not the technical bugs.
And who bought the game on D1 has still no official patch. Imagine a person who doesn't read the forum, who want's only to play his PAIED game, he's still waiting an official update from steam.
It's fair to treat a costumer this way? If i treat someone like this in my shop i will never return, and he'll be right.
Sorry, but you need to be a lot more specific. What you have listed isn't really problematic, at all. Muscovy AI? What's the complaint? They may be doing slightly better in this patch than in previous, but they still underperform in the west.
Swim in money? This has long been an issue. Granted there seems to be more of it, since AoW, but it's something most majors seem to share, so there's a kind of balance there, and you need more mercs to counter their additional mercs.
Rome always converted? Maybe, hadn't noticed. Probably should be addressed if it's consistently the case. Hardly a "unplayable" issue, though, if true.
Ottomans joining religious league? Historically, they had a complex relationship with the Protestants, but at times, they certainly DID provide them with material support.
CAS/POR colonizing Siberia? Not a 1.8 issue. Actually seems a bit less frequent in 1.8. And it's not like it really helps them much.
Counters and trade totally messed up? I gather there are some minor display issues and (perhaps?) some issues with protecting trade during truces. Hardly "totally messed up". Is there something I'm missing?
If you're boiling it down to balancing and AI, there have been "problems" in those areas, since Day 1. The patch certainly did not make them materially worse. And, frankly, this AI compares favorably to the AI in most other games, so it's tough to take that one seriously, at all. Balance is something they're always tweaking. And they're never going to get it right, simply because their audience disagrees on what should be balanced and how. Want a more historical outcome in Eastern Europe? Need to buff the Turks and Russians (or reverse previous nerfs); but no self-respecting Pole or Byzophile will be eager to see that.
If people aren't able, interested, or willing to use the hotfix/beta, that's fine. Either it's not a priority and they're willing to wait, or they simply aren't noticing the relatively minor issues you've mentioned. If there were major issues, as there have been many times in the past, I might agree with your sentiment. If you were one of the unfortunates experiencing major performance slowdown, I sympathize. They had every right to complain about those issues and I'm glad Paradox is being responsive to those issues.
As it is, this release, despite its enormous complexity, has gone relatively smoothly and progress continues to be satisfactory. The one major issue (for some people only) seems to be resolved or on the way to resolution within one week (hopefully?). That's a positive, worthy of congratulations, not a negative worthy of condemnation.
