It is not for bugs report, but some bugs may cause a CTD.


EU2 1.08 is no longer supported.


Important: Mac users must install Db Monarchs/Leaders RAR archive available in AGCEEP website in order to avoid CTD and other weird "behaviour" with countries forming in mid-game and tag changes.

Another EU2 1.09 Mac version bug:
If you experience weird error when loading a saved game, open the savefile with a text editor and replace all "-nan" with "0.000" (without double-quotes).


For those who "lost" AGCEEP shortcut on desktop:
You could have a copy of the shortcut in Start menu inside AGCEEP folder.

If you have to create a new shortcut, make a copy of EU2 original shortcut, right click on the icon and select Properties, change values:
Target: "<path to EU2 folder>\EU2.exe" <path ot EU2 folder>\AGCEEP
Start in (not sure of English version): "<path of EU2 folder>"

Icon (to be modified by corresponding button): <path of EU2 folder>\AGCEEP\Gfx\agceep.ico

In lines above, replace <path of EU2 folder> with the location of EU2 folder according to your install of the game. Something like: C:\Program files\Europa Universalis 2

Well I can't get the thing to actually fire over on the Mac. It will go past the splash screen to the game type screen but after you have picked the game type and the options and hit "start" you suddenly will be looking at your desktop.

And I have put the files from the DB fix in the vanilla folder.

Works on my Mac. No modding of the EU II installation before ? If so, try reinstalling the game.

I will try a reinstall.

EDIT: Did the reinstall and updated to 1.09 from there, then installed the 1.5 AGCEEP and replaced the needed files in DB; and still no joy. Maybe I have a corrupted download that mangled something in the files, so I will redownload.

DB Error

I am getting a DB error/runtime error after installing the game. I have reinstalled and uninsralled it several times to make sure it was not a onetime occurance. I have the lastest EUII patch (1.09) installed.

thats what I was thinking as well.

There are so many ways for the those poor bits and bytes of data to get mangled when they get compressed...

Be sure to have the latest Stuffit Expander version, just in case.

crash on or around august 5-7th 1589 playing as italy

I started the game as Milan, created kingdom of italy with the event, then unified rest of italy... game keeps crashing right around august 5th 1589 + or - a few days, so i think it is because of an event. anybody know what this might be? I have all of the provinces in italy except the sardinia/sicily and mantua, allied with austria. france is like 5 different countries, and there is no russia

Don't know why, but if I turn on all of them it just CTD's.

I had the same problem with crashes in my last England game, Beta 6. I figured out it's actually with the French event- 170111- I commented it out and my game went smoothly. Is there something buggy with desert commands if they don't have enough troops?

It's something with the inherit command, I belieive

But strangely enough, I could fire 170112- the gates of paris, just fine. Don't know what's wrong with that event.

After I choose my scenario and country the game almost loads but then I get "Darabase mismatch error: type=7, id=22150". I hope someone can help me find a solution to this problem. I have tried to redownload and install both EUII 1.09 and AGCEEP 1.5. I haven't uninstalled either,just downloaded on top of current.
