I have translated all names/terms to english (warszawa for example) but I don't know if that is desired.
Name of cities can be in local language when they are used in province.csv. It is the case for Warszawa. For expression like "Serenissima Respublica Polonie", easy to add translation like this "Serenissima Respublica Polonie (the most serene republic of Poland)".

At the end of last description, poland => Poland.

i prefer the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth as its seems that the word commonwealth is used more in history , as per info below. Never seen serene used for Poland :cool:

The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, also known as the "Republic of the Two Nations" or "Commonwealth of the Two Nations" (Polish: Rzeczpospolita Obojga Narodów; Lithuanian: Abiejų tautų respublika) or as the "First Republic," was one of the largest and most populous[1] countries in 17th-century Europe. Its political structure — that of a semi-federal, semi-confederal aristocratic republic — was formed in 1569 by the Union of Lublin, which united the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and lasted in this form until the adoption of the Constitution of May 3, 1791

Hello there,
I'm not certain if this is the place to say this,but...
I had a clean install of EU2(1.00, Polish (damn) version). Patched it to English 1.09 (when I did it previously, some year ago, there was no problem) and installed the latest version of AGCEEP (I think it was 1.50 deluxe). I started a Grand Campaign as Venice, and this is what I saw:
http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/2816/screensave0ju1.jpg
Could someone explain to me, why it is like this? Is there any possible way of getting rid of this TI in half of Europe? When I typed colombus into console, it disappeared from Europe, bou lots of "stains" with TI remained on the Atlantic Ocean, Africa and all other lands.

I am using also MyMAP-AGCEEP, but its map is in a different folder, so that shouldn't be the issue, or?
Thanks in advance for your help :)

That has to do with your MyMap installation, which due to different province IDs have different TI. You need two completely separate installations, as they use common files.

no need for separate installations really, just 2 separate \map folders in EU2 main folder

-There seems to be a problem with the event sequence playing Hungary and electing (unhistorically) János I Corvin after the death of Matthias. After János I Corvin dies in 1504, Zápolya becomes the next king (as János II Zápolya) until 1540. However, the (historical) events concerning king Lajos and Sulejman kick in around 1526 (Lajos insults Sulejman, Death of Lajos - election of Zápolya or Ferdinand etc.)

It is a bit complicated here, also because I don't know much about Hungarian history, but the problem can be summerized in this way: if there is no Lajos, would Sulejman get the cores on Hungary?
The problem could be simply solved if TUR_19008 checks if HUN_188124 has fired, ie Lajos is not on the Hungarian throne.

In case and in order to follow a certain historical path, shouldn we create a new sequence of events between HUN and TUR with "János II Zápolya" offending Suleyman I if Hungary doesn't accept to be vassalized as are the current events scripted for Lajos II?
But that shouldn't lead to the historical results of the battle of Mohacs and the following submission of Hungary and Bohemia to Ferdinand of Austria !

...or couldn't the fact that a stronger Hungary facing or allied to Austria would also frighten the Turks so much as to abandon their designs to invade the Balkan area? Who knows!? ;)

EDIT: suggestions of events removed as still discussed in Bohemia and Hungary thread from post #492.

I believe these events should test if HAB exists, otherwise which is the purpose?

Code:
#(1459) Friedrich of Austria crowned King
event = {
	id = 188110
	trigger = {
		flag = Corvinus
		[COLOR=Yellow]exists = HAB[/COLOR]
	}
	random = no
	country = HUN
	name = "EVENTNAME188110" #Friedrich of Austria crowned King"
	desc = "EVENTHIST188110"
	#-#
	date = { day = 4 month = march year = 1459 }

	action_a = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME188110A" #Crush the traitors
		command = { type = revolt which = 325 } #Magyar
		command = { type = revolt which = 326 } #Presburg
		command = { type = stability value = -1 }
		command = { type = relation which = HAB value = -100 }
		command = { type = revoltrisk which = 60 value = 3 }
	}
}
#-#After Mathias had quickly taken measures to assume greater authority, several malcontent nobles led by Laszló Garai offered the Hungarian throne to Emperor Friedrich III. Friedrich accepted and was crowned King of Hungary in Vienna-Neustadt with the crown of St. Stephen - that had been taken to Austria after the death of Albrecht of Austria, Hungary and Bohemia -, however, due to struggles with the estates of Austria and his brother Albrecht and his very cautious character, hesitated to invade Hungary in order to secure his claim. Unwilling to wait, the supporters of Friedrich rose up in revolt in Northern Hungary on their own.

Code:
#(1462-1469) Peace with Austria
event = {
	id = 188111
	trigger = {
		[COLOR=Yellow]exists = HAB[/COLOR]
		event = 188110 [COLOR=Yellow]#HUN:[/COLOR] Friedrich of Austria crowned King
		control = { province = 325 data = -1 }
		control = { province = 326 data = -1 }
		NOT = { war = { country = HAB country = HUN } }
	}
	random = no
	country = HUN
	name = "EVENTNAME188111" #Peace with Austria
	desc = "EVENTHIST188111"
	#-#

	date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1462 }
	offset = 30
	deathdate = { day = 29 month = december year = 1469 }

	action_a = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME188111A" #Offer peace to Friedrich
		command = { type = trigger which = 179109 } #HAB: Corvinus' offer
	}
	action_b = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME188111B" #Punish the insult
		command = { type = casusbelli which = HAB value = 12 }
		command = { type = war which = HAB }
	}
}
#-#The revolt of the North Hungarian nobles intending to put Emperor Friedrich III on the Hungarian throne was quickly crushed, lacking support among the populace. When Matthias had also secured peace with Jiri Podiebrad of Bohemia, he was about to threaten Austria. Therefore Friedrich III gladly agreed to Mathias' offer of paying a ransom of 60000 ducats for the holy crown of St. Stephen, letting Austria retain the border districts it had controlled since 1444, ceding the city of Sopron and allowing Friedrich to use the title of Hungarian King in exchange for abandonning his claim to the Kingdom of Hungary.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, shouldn't provinces 329 and 327 be meant the other way round?

Code:
BOH = { #Bohemia
      	no = ROM
	no = SIL
      	date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1438 }
      	expirydate = { year = 1820 }
      	minimum = { 315 [COLOR=MediumTurquoise]327[/COLOR] 328 330 }
      	extra = { 314 [COLOR=MediumTurquoise]329[/COLOR] }
      	capital = 328
      	group = latin
	ai = "SmallTrade2.ai"
}

329 Erz
327 Ostmarch

Many events, expecially HUN events, consider 329 and not 327 as a BOH core province, iirc.

Or should we add 329 as core province?

EDIT: I have wrongly pointed out province 328 instead of 329. I have also removed events to be discussed in BOH and HUN thread! ;)

IMHO, Erz (329) alone isn't sufficient to form Bohemia (and possible German culture...) but is a core province. Revolt.txt seems right.
327 should be included in HUN events. I think 327 doesn't appear in HUN events because of vanilla where Ostmarch (327) belongs to Austria...

Updated posts 268 and 272 and removed events to be discussed in the regional thread for Hungary.

About 327, in case we would consider it as part of Bohemia the events to be changed ought to be:

HUN_188119 A addcore
HUN_188008 A removecore and secedeprovince
HUN_188122 A B C secedeprovince
HUN_188123 A B secedeprovince

As a sidenote, in EVENTHIST188111, typo: abandonning => abandoning

Just for a better understanding of hungarian monarchs I would like to suggest this order in the sequence of monarchs.hun file for future modding. ;)

-Possible Alternate line of Kongo kings if no European contact.
I believe the European contact is inevitable...

The only problem that can arise is if Portugal doesn't exist any longer in 1500s... ;)

Ottoman Cores: I don't know if it's intentional, but when the Ottomans get a core on Podolia, they don't have cores on any province touching Podolia - neither Moldovia or Wallachia are ever considered Ottoman cores. This makes it hard for them to conquer Podolia, since keeping Moldovia as a one-province vassal usually means Poland adds it to their holdings.
Are we talking about these events here?

Code:
#(1648) The Conquests of Mehmed IV
event = {
	id = 301008
	random = no
	country = TUR
	name = "EVENTNAME301008" #The Conquest of Mehmed IV
	desc = "EVENTHIST301008"
	#-#

	date = { day = 8 month = August year = 1648 }

	action_a = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME301008A" #Help the Cossaks
		command = { type = addcore which = 480 } #Crete
		command = { type = addcore which = 297 } #Podolia
		#command = { type = AI which = TUR_Generic.ai }
	}
}
#-#In 1648, the Ottomans invaded Crete. After twenty years of war, they took the island in 1668. In 1672, the Cossaks of the Ukraine asked for help against Poland, offering their vassalage to the Empire. Mehmed's Grand Vizier, Köprülü Ahmed, came to their aid, defeating Poland and adding Podolia to the Empire. The Cossaks, however, soon broke their vassalage.

Actually this event doesn't mention if Crete is in Venice hands, no mention of Morosini and most of all no trigger testing if Ukraine exists or Poland has released (POL_25001 B) or their rebellion has fired (POL_25001 B).

IMO we should have another two events for the conquest of Crete , one event if VEN still owns Crete describing the famous siege of Candia starting from 1648 where the Turks decided the invasion. This event will be checked by current TUR_301008 which should fire whwn and only if Crete is in Turkish hands. A second event if TUR already owns Crete and so no siege was performed starting from 1648.

A separate event should check the question of Podolia, maybe testing if Ottoman Empire is neighbour of Poland or of Ukraine or what else...

By the way the core on Podolia will be removed with this event:

Code:
#(1690-1780) The Treaty of Karlowitz
event = {

		}
		core = { province = 353 data = -1 } #OE has cores on Hungary
	}
	random = no
	country = TUR
	name = "EVENTNAME301015" #The Treaty of Karlowitz
	desc = "EVENTHIST301015"
	#-#

	date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1690 }
	offset = 200
	deathdate = { day = 29 month = december year = 1780 }

	action_a = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME301015A" #The Empire is doomed
		command = { type = removecore which = 297 } #Podolia
		command = { type = removecore which = 316 } #Carpathia

#-#Having been defeated decisively by a coalition of Austria, Russia, Poland and Venice and lost control over large chunks of the Balkan, the Ottoman Empire was forced to sign a humiliating peace treaty in 1699 in the Serbian city of Karlowitz. All Hungary except the Banat of Temesvar, Croatia and Slavonia were ceded to Austria, Podolia to Poland, Dalmatia and the Peloponnesus to Venice. Russia got Azov in a separate treaty signed in 1700. Except for Greece, none of these losses was ever recovered permanently. The disintegration of the Empire had begun.
