Does this mean that the colonizers will be getting their islands and colonies snatched in European wars? I mostly play in the Middle East/India/East Eurasia and am curious to see if this will change how the ownership of the Americas end up.
If the colonizer's (Spain/Portugal/England) navy is beaten or avoided will France/Aragon/Morocco/Austria/Aztec/etc. now be more likely to assault islands, overseas cities, and especially taking over colonies during war? Taking a colony while its building up gives a free core- will the AI fight for them if they have the navy to go for them? With FBR not giving colony and coring range anymore will the AI in coastal countries use naval invasions when possible?
Guess I'll keep playing a bit more to see, as this would make the game more interesting for me if I find a few random Eurasian and/or North African colonies or even colonial nations in the Americas when I westernize.
