Ok, I gotta to post about it, because the AI handed my ass so bad last night in 1.5 that I am so satisfied by this version of the game. Bear in mind that I am an average new player, not one of those specialist players.

It was about 1600, playing as France. Over the past 200 years, I had expanded diplomatically and forcibly to include Ireland, Whales, the north of Italy, Belgium. France was whole and strong, I had the 2nd biggest army, a good treasury and income.

Then, the Papal state, my ally, declares war on Aragon to take Ancoma. I always support my allies, always, so I did and could easily. We are at war with Aragon, Castille, Portugal, Milan and Savoy. Well, "we"' I should say I since the papal state is irrelevant. For them, I get the war score to 60, yet my own war score is -3 because of blockades. My navy isn't strong. PS peaces out with Milan and savoy, but not the others yet. Ok, I am getting tired there, my MP is down to 10k from 120k. I can't peace out due to my -3 WS (even so I win all battles.... Blockades are awesome, I learned my lesson).

Then comes the hammer! Austria, my arch nemesis, enact some law that allows them to reclaim HRE territories. They immediately declare war on me and my few allies, and nearly all of HRE members join. Then comes the 2nd hammer, Brabant declares war to make me change my government, and is joined by Britain and pretty much everyone else in Europe that didn't join the 1st war...My allies are slowly but surely pushed out of the war, and I stand alone vs all of Europe.

And the PS is still not declaring peace at 68 WS. I ended up losing all my out of France territories and had to release Provence, Armagnac, Bar and Lorraine as sovereign states.

And the PS? They got Ancoma!

I have to say, the AI did great. I was weak, they chose the right time, and they broke my back. I am not sure what my next move is, try to reclaim my rightful French territories I guess, but my Italian and British Isles ambitions have been shattered. It may be time to look way further to expand.

If only PI could fix two things that bug me, the game would be whole:
1) The exploit of placing a siege army in a province, and a reinforcement near it. The AI falls for that too easily. The AI should have a script that check whether there is reinforcement nearby, and the AI should use that same patient strategy instead of spreading itself thin by singing too many provinces.

2) The auto call to war. This is seriously game breaking sometimes as it shut all of your alliances when you would normally have never call those allies to war. The player should always choose to call or not, no auto call, even as a defender.

Beside that, I love this 1.5, the game is challenging and fun!
