They have announced music is coming so if its like every other title I expect some cosmetics of some kind.

Paradox does great music too. Viking Metal is one of my favorite sets but all of them are pretty good. It's also kinda nice to boot up the game around christmas time, because I always forget about the holiday tracks until I hear one of them start up.

That one's a bit odd because it's wrenched into the stature needed for the clothing. But still, "piggy" is easier for most people to remember, not in the sense of "wow this is a memorable race" but in the sense of "who's that empire again?". Things that are weird are cool too, but right now there's a lot of aliens that are "weird" in very similar ways, so they all kinda blend together. The "cuties" suite of portraits does do a good job of avoiding that, but a lot of portraits (especially the ones with clothes, now that I think of it) really don't have interesting designs. Of the ones that stand out, it's not a coincidence that many are based more on real things.
Well i suppose thats just your prefference, cuz i can remember the unique "weird" characters a lot more than the animal ripoffs. Its not even the fact they have inspiration from creatures on earth, cuz many others do that more subtley and/or uniquely (Parrot suit, Cactus Dragon thing, the spore-like zombie virus thing that usually takes over insects on earth but is now covering some weird furry monkey thing (see below)) but its that many alien are just earth creatures, and again, thats fine to an extent. They manage to make em either look cute enough or have a couple cool bits on em to keep em from looking too bland (except the damn Space Hogs, i mean come on). I just personally dont remember them as well as some of the more, as you say, "weird" ones.

I wonder if we could get them to sell music packs for their other games for Stellaris. It doesn't really fit but it's still great music and I would like to hear an EU song in between the normal music.
If they are really ambitious they could remix it. I'd pay top dollar for remixed Paradox music pack.

I think what you're specifically asking for might also be moddable.

As for the Stellaris specific music they're planning, I can't wait, since there's a lot of options they can go with. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw an 'orchestral' sooner or later (think star wars-like) too.

Very curious what the Art Team has in store for us and how much of their work since Plantoids we will see with Utopia
I'm curious what tools you would need to replicate the art style. I imagine humanoids would be relatively easy to create since it's just a matter of redlining the human portrait, no custom animations required.
