1.4 to fix lag ??

hi ,
just a quick question will the 1.4 patch fix lag (even though it has been reduced by the other patches) , my pc is windows vista 32bit , 2GB ram , 2 CPU 4400 @ 2.00GHz processor and my grafics card is a nVidia geforce 7500LE , should this run the game well ?? , is it the game or my pc ?? and is will the 1.4 patch fix more lag and when is the release date??

there have been alot of optimisations done for 1.4

I find 1.3 quite optimised , speed is almost as good as HOI2.
I've played several games and no crash occurs.

IMO the main problem of this game is :

-Balance: Manpower far too low for SU and far too high for UK, and global system remains really bad.

-The law system is too weird and not enough linked with nation specificities.
(too easy to switch , training policy not linked with manpower, total war mobilisation too easy to reach, collaboration government = gamebreaking etc.....)

-Planes seems a bit useless.

-reserve units in an attaked prov should be able to move while not involved in the fight.

-Not enough muddy terrain and Winter should give more malus.

I am not in a rush, 1.3 solved most glaring issues.
Now deeper troubles are left which take more time to fix.
End of january for 1.4 would be good guess.

So far, Is there any way to improve HoI3´s performance?, lag is awful. I mean, core 2 duo ~2.0 Ghz and 2 Gb of Ram are not able to deal with this game.

There's been some info passed around already in various places. We know AI will be changed somehow for example. Verious support threads also if I recall correctly had mentions about some smaller fixes in 1.4.
