In my opinion the preview information you gave us, is much more important then this little delay. I dont mind delay. Better some more delay then a half patch.

But well the information makes me feel more the waiting is really worth it.

- You can no longer convert a pop that is in rebellion.
- Pops that devolve now devolve to pops of same culture.
- Armies are now resized to maximum strength compared to the amount of manpower a nation really has.  (No more -4343 manpower unless a country are truly fucked in the setup.)
-POP files for the 1836 campaign have been completely reorganized and rationalized, with changes in pop size made in select files where new information was available. In particular, Korea population in 1836 reduced to remove 4x overstating, South Asian populations revised upwards, Switzerland population split into Catholic and Protestant and 4x overstating removed.
-POP files have also been balanced in terms of what each nation starts with in terms of factories and military size, so that there is a direct correlation between number of clerk and craftsmen POPs and the number of factories at start, and the number of soldier pops correlates to the size of the starting military OOB. Excess POPs in original pop files have reverted back to farmer/labourer pops.

I hope to see in the new 1.4 patch that the Dutch POP's are also split in Protestants and Catholics too. In the southern Dutch provinces is the large majority of the population Catholic, not Protestant. Also other parts of the Netherlands have important catholic minorities

Of course it would be nice, if all religions and nationalities were correct, but this is not so important with Netherlands than Switzerland because of the Sonderbund rebellion event for Switzerland, which increases the militancy of catholic pops. Maybe VIP will or has already fixed that.

I'm not sure I really undestand the manpower one. Does that just mean no more negative manpower?

Nice to see the Korea exploit gone, but the colonial manpower/infinite reinforcement system is all messed up besides that. The only game where my success hasn't depended on getting colonies for manpower was as the USA.

At any rate, I'm just happy it's being looked at. Hopefully they'll find it in their hearts to somehow reduce the ridiculously huge armies the UK always has.

I think it makes sense for socialists, and others, to turn conservative after a time. People get more conservative as they get older. Not necessarily "yay go imperialist monarchy" conservative, but they just adopt a more moderate philosophy.

Yes, but that would make them moderate socialists, not conservatives.
Besides, in game, a pop having another ideology than the ruling party gets a militancy rise (or at least misses the decrease). Hence, it wouldn´t make sense to make your people happy as either a liberal or a communist regime (not that people usually get really prosperous under a communist regime, but...)
