1.4 seemed to speed up my game a bit (twice as fast between days - thank God!), haven't tried if Tripoli still crashes for me.

(A weird bug really, the game always crashes or bugs when I play as Tripoli. Once I started at peace with the Ottomans, with all my units on the march north and with 600 money. Then it crashed a few days later.)

Not needed, you can install AHD over V2 1.0 or the latest beta, or anything inbetween. It's possible mods might cause problems though, so if you have mods besides those in the mod folder you might need a clean install.

Reading about the fixes, I dont see anything about the ridiculous amount of burocrats we get with last beta patch. I am sure everybody is aware of that bug (in all my games the only way to lose burocrats is putting my burocrats slider at 5% funding or less. No I have never modded my game). Nothing is being made on that regard?

As far as I can say after a quick look at farmer/craftsman promotion - the same old BS crat bloat. Even a high cap of 5-8% would be better than nothing. A nice variable for the cap could be the government form with higher cap for communism and lower for democratic/republic.

I think there should be an option in game that lets you put a cap on a % of the population that you want max bureaucrats. In-fact i think you should be able to do this with any pop that the government employs ex. soldiers, clergy, officers ect

I think dealing with bloated bureaucracies is a great facet to deal with when managing a nation at this time. It is part of the modernization process which you have to deal with, not something you can simply cap with no repercussions.

That said I'd love to have flavor events which deal with this problem when the Bureaucrats reach a certain level (mods could do this pretty easily I think) allowing you to attempt reform or to curb their influence/pop (through privatization or streamlining) as was historically tried, but in the end the more you move to a modern state and the more you expect your country to run "smoothly" (admin efficiency) this should be an outcome.

The state can´t control much the numbers of craftsmen, or farmers, or clerks, or capis... but it can perfectly control the number of their employees (burocrats, soldiers and officers). If I fund the burocrats slider at 60% or more, I recognize burocrats should rise, but if I fund them at 40% or less, their numbers should be reduced ESPECIALLY WHEN OTHER PROFESSIONS ARE MORE PROFITABLE. Now I need to fund burocrats at 5% or less to start losing them.
