The final part of the Precursor league quest chain is not triggering despite having all artifacts. Hopefully these three saves at varying points of the game can give you some helpful data.

Also worth noting, is the second biggest remaining empire enslaves many of its pops unnecessarily or in really nonsensical ways (eg. pops on power planets, or even entire worlds for that matter). I may make another bug thread about this.

Just wanted to chime in that I have had issues with finishing the precursor events to, I get all artifacts, and then it reveals location of the world, then nothing. it just stays in questlog even if i send over a science ship or other things.

I've also had the Yuht home system discovery fire, then upon sending a science ship nothing happens, and nothing happens when I survey all planets or send military vessels. The event remains in my situation log, probably for the remainder of the game so it's annoying but probably not a huge deal.

The system spawned in a cordial neighbour AI, they beat me to the system with a science ship and I couldn't physically stop that occurring. I did notice an object appear over a planet but I couldn't interact with it, subsequently the AI performed some sort of project with it and it disappeared. I guess they got the goodies which is fine (letting go the question of whether this is fair or fun), but the bug is that there was no notification and the quest isn't cleared from the log. Save attached (Yuhtaan is on the "southern" fringe of my border).

Was just coming to report this myself. Same thing. Did all the quests, found the home planet, send a science ship.. nothing....

Personally if it's a situation where its a race against time, against all other factions to be the first to find it this really needs to be told to the player either in flavor text, or straight out notes in the situation log, such as "We've found debris of an ancient civilization! There may be more. We better find them quick before others beat us to it".

Or put a note at the bottom of the main precursor quest tab that says "(Note: The final part of this quest rewards the first faction to complete it.)

THen put a notificatoin when another empire completes it. "X factoin found the home world before us. unfortunately they aren't sharing their discoveries" and the quest ends.

Then again, it's all based on RNG. So i'm not entirely sure how fair or fun it is to almost never be able to get the pre cursor stuff done anyway due to blockades, wars, random RNG chance of triggering the events, etc.

Ah, what a mess they made to "Other empire arrived first" announcement events.

The first empire who research the specific anomaly on precursor homeworld gets the anomaly-triggered event, awards the prize. That event is also supposed to set a global flag, so that when other empires survey precursor homeworld, a event triggers, tells them "You are late", and ends their precursor event chains.
The problem is, except Yuht, other four homeworld anomaly events forget to set its global flags. So their you-are-late events are never triggered.

And that is not the whole picture. Note that the global flag is set on first-comer's completion of investigating homeworld anomaly. So if you survey the homeworld before that, there will be no event telling you-are-late. Just as what @artemis667 experienced.

Suggested solution:
1) add relative global flag to those other four first-comer's events.
2) All five first-comer's events shall trigger their corresponding you-are-late events (modified ones, as the original you-are-late events are ship events) to whoever else has surveyed the homeworld at the time.

Oh, there is another circumstance when you-are-late event does not fire. That is, you gain survey data of precursor homeworld through star chart trading, after the anomaly is investigated by other empire.

Suggested solution: add events to on_planet_surveyed to deal with such situation. Or just move the original events to be triggered there (instead of on_survey), and modify them accordingly.

Ill put my 50 cents.

1. You can get more than 6 precursor event parts. To do this you need to ignore anomalies for a while and you will receive new anomalies till the infinity. (I had maximum 12 or 11, sad, haven't screenshot or saved file about this).
2. Even if you'll research all of this events, you'll never achieve the pass to the precursor homeworld. And all this events will stay in your event log till the end of the game.
3. Even if someone else will find the precursor homeworld, all events will stay in your event log till the end of the game.

I also got to the home system event and then nothing happens when I go to the home world. I am also still getting spawns of more artifact anomalies. I have the Irassian chain.
