1.3b AI Update

Hello -

My apologies if this has already been addressed in a prior thread but I do not see the answer jumping out at me.

I have HOI 2 1.3a installed (verified by the "HOI2 1.3a (JLQC)" displayed in the upper right hand corner when I am at the game start menu).

I downloaded and extracted the 1.3b AI update to the following path:

C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron 2

Everything seemed to go smoothly; files were replaced, etc. However, when I load the game and get to the game start menu I do not see in the upper right hand corner of the screen any indication that I am running the game now with the 1.3b update. I still see "HOI2 1.3a (JLQC)".

Is this what is supposed to happen? I just want to verify that I am indeed running the game with the 1.3b update applied.

Thanks for the information Warrior.

Please forgive my computer illiteracy and desire to understnad completely but I have an additional question.

I assume since the 1.3b update does not alter the .EXE file that that is the reason the version number and checksum values are not updated and I get the same values even after updating to 1.3b. Correct?

Is there any other way that I can verify that the updated files contained in the 1.3b update were correctly copied over? Would there be a particular file that would have a certain date that would allow me to verify? I did the update today, so would there be a file that should have been updated having today's date?

I would appreciate any additional information concerning the above.
