Check your logs, if there's anything meaningful in them there might be a slight chance
Analogical evidence suggests though that there's a type of crashes in Leviathan that leaves no traces so there's no way to figure out what really caused it

Hey, thank you for your service! My save is only in like 1490 so maybe I should just restart and save you time, but I've already restarted a bunch of majapahit games and I don't really wanna do that again... If it doesn't take long to recover these saves, here's mine:

The error logs say this :

[dlc.cpp:1531]: Could not find item in store backend.

around 15-20 lines of this in every log.

I must add now cause I forgot, I don't own the dlc, the save is made without the LeViAtHaN.

All of those seem to be blank saves, something caused by pressing the 'continue button', as you can tell by its filesize.
Unless you have a backup I'm afraid I can't help you

I tried the backup save and the it just said country does not exist at the time

For a few reasons I can't really share it. And yeah, it isn't exactly super simple for the slightly less tech savvy people I imagine.
I don't really mind sitting here though
