@ the steam users i got NHVE too after a complete fresh reinstall/download from steam.
the download was the 1.2 version and i manually updated it to 1.3
seems to be normal, though i dont really understand, but good to know that other people got the same

Quick notes since i cant post in the bug forum:
Japan is back to not defending the borders with shanxi. And still gets obliterated.
Germany still declares war on Sweden. And still declares war on everybody at the same time. Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Lux, Belgium, Netherlands all on the same day.
Japan will now get indo-china...yay! But if the clique still exists they will lose it all within a few months since they have little forces there to start with. Siam will also be overrun by the clique since china's warlords are insanely powerful still.
Brazil and Argentina join the axis....Maybe just a fluke game.... but i swear these countries are rivals and would never ban together on the same side of anything.
The UK paradropped on Rhodes =D!
Germany just DOWed the SU while the bulk of its forces were tied up in a bottleneck standoff in Sweden. More then 123 brigades in malmo, more units there then on the entire soviet front.
Canada is in the allies, Denmark is a Axis puppet state. They are at war with each other. Canada allows Denmark Debt....
Mekekeko (i dunno how to spell it, Japans puppet in china) has 28 militia brigades.....in france.....

Well, it seems strange that I get penalties for improving my spies, researchers (which research anything from an atom bomb to submarines to agricultural methods) and diplomats because I haven't got enough LAND COMBAT experience...
minestopped working as soon as i installed 1.3 it gone all tits up, i re-installed 3 times re-downloaded the patch 3 times and still the same, am i missing something?

I did the exact same thing and I got a checksum of NHVE as well.

Can anyone confirm whether this is okay or not?
This is "normal behaiviour" for 1.3. Was same for several handsoffs at weekend with last 1.3 beta i tested. So i bet a Mod has to change something of that...or we have to wait for 1.4 now. That arent Gamebreakers....so Johan decided that 1.3 can get out for the masses.
I think personally, that most of this described things can be modded out with some scripts. Hopefully a modder gives us something like that soon.
Maybe we should start a new thread about that one.

I hope a modder doesnt actually fix anything considering i cant see the mod forum, havent been able to for going on 3 months now.
Plus I consider Japan game breaking now, considering they will never DOW the USA now since the china war never goes well. So the USA never joins the war. Meanwhile most of south america and Central america is in the axis, so it could be a mess if the USA ever does join the war.
Might i add something seems messy with the Japan AI, it just seems to want to shuffle troops back and forth along the line. Its got more then 186 brigades now in southern Vietnam, facing maybe 12 clique brigades, as well as several empty zones on the line, they wont do anything except shuffle. I tried to reload seeing if i could jump kick the AI, no luck. All that happened was Yemen surrender to Italy at load up (eh?)
I had a few things go wrong with Japan's AI, I was watching them and they kept invading China with like 3 divisions. Then waited a few weeks for those to get killed off, then invaded again with 3 divisions. They just kept doing that, and was losing almost everything in their puppet's country.
Also, Is anybody experiencing this? Everytime i click a province everything that you can build goes to full strength then goes to whatever it really is. I am also having some serious problems on clicking on units. I click one unit, then click the same place and 9/10 times i get a province around the people i want.

1.3 patch: Flags problem

I have patched Hoi3 with 1.3 patch, first over a previous 1.2 installation, next over a fresh new installation... with same results: the flags of all the nations are badly wrong
I have changed the in-game resolution, and the freq sync with same results.
with 1.1 and 1.2 patches the flags are corrects, any suggestions?

That's the checksum the game calculated for me as well when I updated my steam version manually.
However, it turned out that users of other versions, who did not update the progam by hand, got different checksums. Hence, I reinstalled a vanilla 1.2 version and now wait for the official steam update to arrive (which will probably be this morning/early afternoon).
I want the game to be clean and neat without the danger of crashing in 1948 a few years short of total Shanxi hegemony....
