Don't know if this has been said before, but in my US game currently I'm having a bit of a problem containing socialists among my pops. The pop that is most red is surprisingly... my capitalist class. Don't know if this is WAD or not, but it seems a bit odd. Are pop's affinities for ideology weighted in any way?

That's actually fairly historical, depending on the year. Socialism (like most -isms) arose first amongst the wealthy, who had the time to sit around thinking how unfair life was for people who weren't them. Marx, the son of a rabbi, was the definition of bourgeois; Engels' family owned factories. Maybe it should be the clergy who adopt new philosophies first, but capitalists should also be early adopters.

Hmm, I'd say the kind of Middle-class Bourgeois Intellectuals would be better represented by the Clerk POP type.
