1.3 Missing pics

So, after noticing no pictures for certain ministers (Heydrich for example) and Focke-Wulf using the Opel pic, i was wondering if this was some oversight on Paradox's part. Even if it is, i started thinking that maybe i could fix it myself. How would i go about doing this?

no expert on HoI2 modding here, but

You need to find pictures of those you want (Heydrich, krupp etc). You will need to use a graphics program to get them to the necessary size and 24-bit (I think), Grey-scale them (if they are colour).

You need to find the relevent IDs for them in the minister and tech files. (Krupp is M97 for example) and place the appropriate piccies you have made in the relevant GFX folder.

EDIT: though it seems there already ARE pictures for them (I can see a M97 pic for Krupp in the GFX folder :wacko: )

In hoi1 all the leader files are named "lastname_surname_country" so they are quite easy to find . And they are in the correct format. So when I find a missing leader I search my hoi1 picture folder, copy it to hoi2's picture dir and rename it.

for the matter of techteams you might have to put in a little more effort

Im just wondering why the pics are missing... Paradox has done an excellent job up until now of providing pics for everything.

Interesting that some people say that they have the right pictures for Focke Wulf over in the main forum.

My pics for T11 and T26 (Opel and Focke Wulf) are identical. Has anyone spotted a Focke Wulf picture in the pics folder? I had a look but couldn't see one.

re. The Krupp picture - I don't have a proper copy of excel atm (just a freebie which doesn't allow you to alter anything but allows you to view files). But.. is that a space after the name of the pic file (eg M97) and before the ';' in Krupp's file? Can't check myself and don't know whether this would make the picture not show.

edit. Bah! Just installed office 97 to find out it's not a space. Something else is the cause of why the minister is not hooking up with his photo.
