True. But I think that is more of problem with the system, and probably not a simple fix, though it would be nice.
EE_P_MIL;Monarchs military skil change by %d for the next %d months.;
TC_CONVOY_POOL;Atleast %d unassigned Convoy Transports\n;
EE_P_MIL is a leftover string not used in hoi2.Found a small error in the file event_text.csv:-> should be skillCode:EE_P_MIL;Monarchs military skil change by %d for the next %d months.;
->should be At LeastCode:TC_CONVOY_POOL;Atleast %d unassigned Convoy Transports\n;
I have also been able to reproduce this, but it has zero effect on game play. If you want to be able to adjust the sliders, just open then close the Auto Slider control window.I was able to reproduce this bug seven times in a row now.
Steps:
- Have a game saved with autosliders on
- After booting the system (didn't really try with exit/start)...
- ... load the savegame
- Let the clock tick while opening the diplomacy tab
- After the daychange, open production tab - voilà!
I can surrender/load and repeat the process infinately. Both letting a day pass by in the production tab and clicking the autocontrol button and pressing "Close" will make the sliders appear. Switching tabs after that or letting the clock run by WILL NOT CHANGE THIS BEHAVIOUR on surrender/load/repeat... So I guess it is the exact procedure of switching to diplomacy -> leting one day pass by -> switching to production which causes this effect.

Exactly, it is not a problem. The sliders reappear the next day anyway.I have also been able to reproduce this, but it has zero effect on game play. If you want to be able to adjust the sliders, just open then close the Auto Slider control window.
Overall, it seems that we are close to ready. What do you guys think?As there is a work around to the issue and it does not effect gameplay we will not be fixing it in the 1.3 patch.
Perhaps a Pay-For-Expansion project can take a look at this and correct it.
Thank you for reporting the bug.
excited
i paused all my games just because of the new patch. i can not concentrate in the games when i know there is something better is arriving.
paying for a patch : on one hand, paying for a patch doesn`t make sense; on the other hand you guys put too much effort on this and just having some reputation from us may not be enough for you.
i hope you will make the patch ready in this week.

I think you might have misunderstood. AFAIK the patch is free.
Coreymas appeared to be mooting the possibility of making an expansion that people could pay for - similar to they way Armageddon was released;
Thanks for the info.I can say with all sincerity that there are groups out there that have contracted with Paradox for the sole purpose of making pay for expansions for all their Europa series games (EU2, HOI2, Vicky). See this thread for details:

These groups are looking seriously at these 1.3 Beta patch threads/posts and will pick up on ideas that they feel fits into their expansion.
As for releasing the patch as final that is up to Johan to decided if/when/how (once he gets the final changes from us that is).
And yes this patch is being offered by the Patch Project team for free.

I discovered something in 1.3 Beta that has not happened before, not sure if it is a bug, though. After some minutes of gameplay, I click on a land unit, on the commander icon to change it - now the game becomes incredibly slow, the mouse cursor is merely jumping and the list of commanders cannot be scrolled down (also no commander from the list can be chosen). After this effect has appeared for the first time, it is reproducable each time I select a land commander until I save/reload the game. Does not happen with air/naval commanders at the same time, they remain selectable.
Workaround: remove commander from the unit and let the game "auto-select" a new one... but this is somehow not satisfactory (although highly realistic)
Sys and game specs:
Vista, 32 bit, 4 MB RAM, everything worked fine til 1.3 beta
Game: Doomsday v1.3a + Armageddon 1.3 Beta + GIP (could this be an issue?), 41 scenario w/ GER, a few days into the campaign
If I find out any more details, I will let you know.
btw - thanks for the patch, it made the game enjoyable once again![]()
GIP may very well be the issue as this is not happening in the regular 1.3 beta.... might have to do with how GIP handles File locations.... Try posting this issue in their MODS forum.
