Since the achievements update in advance of the 1.4 release I have lost achievements I had (eg colonise a planet) and gained achievements I haven't earned (to my knowlege) such as "open up a shielded world"

Something got horrible wrong in the Steam backend when I added the new achievements, working with reverting the change. Sorry!

Just hope achievements will get back to normal before the patch ... If not, i guess i'll wait before playing.
Based on what I see it is basically just the Wrong Image & Description assigned to the proper Archievement ID.
So (hopefully) purely a Steam side display/page generation issue.

@draxil any new achievements you receive runs the risk of being reverted. Trust me if I could fix this quicker for you guys I would, but I'm dependent on Steam to do the revert. My current plan is basically to stay late so that I can fix the new achievements for you as soon as Steam have reverted my last change.
