So as of recently, me and my friends have been able to play euiv fairly easily. Speed 2 to 3 was fairly common as it normally was for many people though when they "optimized" the game, it seems to have hit one of their systems really hard as we can hardly even play on speed one. Anyone else having issues like this? I'm not fully sure if it is euiv causing the issues as HoI4 has the same problems. Vicky 2 runs fine and CK2 runs only a tad slower than usual.

I' not sure, but it sounds as if you think Paradox has Servers for multiplayer. That's not the case. The PC of the host of the match is the Server, so either yours or your friends.
You might want to make sure that there are no unnecessary programs running on the server pc, check RAM and CPU in Task Manager to make sure. Also, your network connection needs to be stable, so if your running on WiFi, you might want to check if there are some issues there.
I dont know about MP but since the new patch I have serious performance isssues late game or at long gaming sessions. I used to play speed 4 with barely noticable lag. Now I actually have to play for shorter periods or restart my PC time to time.
I remember reading they optimised game for better performance so maybe this can be thr case?

I hope they would've actually optimized it. Pretty sure though it is just something with new provinces or new checks or something. We can do conversions like Lord of Universalis with no problem but the actual vanilla game just tanks his ticks.
