I like the idea of a '38 scenario.

Starting in '36 makes stockpiling resources so easy that Germany never sees shortages. Starting in '39 means they get no chance to stockpile at all and end up with shortages earlier than they should.

Nice, actually. A '42 scenario sounds like a great idea...a battle scenario's a step forward since now the troop dispositions over there are widely known and a scenario isn't too much tougher.

I hope they tweaked naval combat and naval bombers too. In vanilla, subs and naval bombers are both too powerful and the AI does a terrible job with fleet composition.

aah, because of some pointless scenarios this patch was delayed for atleast a month... amazing!
Yep, "amazing" is the word for it. As in...it's amazing that we already have folks complaining with the announcement of a new patch and bonus materials!
Some people are never content...

Why could they not put the extra scenario in a separate file release?

Why would they need to do that? No-one's going to leave HoI2 at 1.1 (whatever happens in patches, unless 1.06c strikes twice they can only be an improvement overall) and battle scenarios are very small - just over 200kb for Barbarossa, which will likely be similar to Case Blue. There's just no reason to have people download it separately.

dare i hope for 1280x1024?

i know my dad can be persuaded, i saw his eyes light up when i demonstrated what could be simulated in the game, but he's as blind as a bat and the picture isn't crisp enough on a 19" tft.
