The problem is that Germany should be stealing applicable blueprints, like infantry, armor, industrial, and air force, not blueprints for an entirely separate land doctrine research path that they cannot use.

And don't get me started on the abandon doctrine exploit. That doesn't count as a legitimate reason.

Perceptive man with respect to the last. I think I got "heavy tank" (which I never use) out of the Brits along with about 15 land and naval techs that I COULD never use and yet.... I ......JUST......COULDN'T..........STOP!!!!!!!!!

If your "target" nation does not have any blueprints that you actually have the ability to research you shouldn't have the option of trying to "steal blueprint." Gray it out! That is the only thing that would save the likes of me from ourselves.

Hey, speaking of that, and perhaps this is more of an enhancement than a bugfix, but wouldn't it be nice to have at least a random chance of obtaining blueprints from nations you annex? The US and Sovs sure got a lot of German "blueprint techs" in real life 1945.

Wouldn't it be some kind of exploit, that you would be able to know, if they had more research you could steal? And that you would know, what it was, after you stole it? As it is now, you can't know, if they have more and what they have, a bit like real life, no?

Maybe you shouldn't be able to steal blueprints for doctrines? (Or perhaps, only doctrines you yourself have)

i agree that is shouldnt let you steal blueprints that your doctrine tree doesnt follow, but it shouldnt be greyed out if they dont have it....

Maybe you should have to waste a spy even if they dont have any techs you can use and get a popup that says 'all availible techs known' or something of the such.


CAUSE!!!!!!! i cant picture anyone going up to Hitler and saying " hey I just found out about this new idea for combat; that involves us sending man after man against the enemy, and i think we should forget about this 'blitzkreig idea' it sounds like a failure.

That would mean that being familiar with the opponent's tactical methods would earn you a small combat bonus.

The AI-espionage needs serious tweaking anyway... they don't even defend their home country from foreign spies.

With a modifier of +1% per Doctrine, it's probably not a game-breaker anyway, especially on the harder levels.

Allies can only trade blueprints for a Tech that the other ally is just about to learn, yes? As USSR, I can't even give away blueprints to my allies unless they have already researched all of the prerequisites for the Tech.

I assume the XP system will be changed to something more reasonable or, well I might get depressed :( ;) . If the patch doesnt change the XP system then that'll be the most disappointing thing since the 2004 US election.

What's truly needed is an auto-send-spy feature. The only thing preventing me from making full use of the intelligence features are the fact that you have to stop the game every week or so and try to plant more spies in your respective countries. The tedium of doing this is positively excruciating. Just a simple radio box you can click somewhere, presumably in the intelligence tab, that automatically attempts to send a spy whenever the opportunity arises and the needed money is available would solve pretty much the only problem I have with the intelligence system.
