These incremental patch updates are fantastic. They really help us as we wait for improvements. Thank you.
Yes, they're very nice, but they're also a bit of a trap, because the game could continue to be incrementally improved forever, all the while as we're told about all the neat things that are being fixed and improved.
King, just a reminder that "we the people" are not getting to play with all the cool beta builds that you guys are having fun with. ;)

Is there any chances that we could include a way of aiding rebel factions?
as this would be realistic....i.e a communist country supporting communist rebels in our neighbours...or germany supporting pan german rebels...
the ability to destabilize the neighbour without the need of invading? or that would lead to events of a popular clamour for one to invade?

No at this point in time the Scots and English are united in keeping the Irish down. :D

Actually, this is quite easy. Just create an event called Guinness Stout Fest - irish POP lose all Consciousness. Would be more realistic if it raises their Militancy too, but this wouldn't work in the game. :D

I'm not irish but that event would be quite effective with me aswell!

The game is great, but hoping that 1.2 will:
Fix the rebel problems
Help with literacy
Clearer way to increase research points
the late game lag
and yes please a few more decisions, specially on education, indutrialization and the military.

As a Scotchsman, do you ever release Scotchland and try and conquer your rightful and glorious master the Engerlish?

What I want to know is, does King speak Swedish with a Scottish brogue? :D

I'd like to hear that (not that I'd understand).

Would it be possible to see countries in your sphere, that you are not currently influencing, as well? Depending on the country, I don't always have influence on once I've drawn them in sphere, and it would be nice to know if another power is actively trying to take them away.

The way it works now is that the outliner lists countries you are influencing and/or countries in your sphere that someone else starts to influence.

If there are multiple countries, will it list all of them? (So if France and Austria are influencing Bavaria, I will see both of their totals?)

Excellent, and Prussia-Austria is the perfect example. Playing other GPs SoIs are manageable, but messing with a dozen important minors it gets to be crazy.

BTW - the trouble for low-end GPs is that if the USA loses the Civil War, then there are two GPs in America, and not just one. Nasty shock for me as Brazil.

Never seen the CSA as a GP - usually devolves into one big revolt 10 years in.

It only shows your influence in the outliner, the others influences are shown in the tooltip. You'll see two flags though(both FRA and AUS)

Would there be a way to tell straight from the outliner (and from the diplomacy screen) how high the influence level (friendly, etc...) of each of the countries are? My idea is to have different coloured fonts (red for hostile, yellow for neutral, green for friendly, etc...) on the diplomacy screen for the numbers that show influence points, then for the outliner, have the country flags have a thin border that would show the colours for the influence level of the other countries.

This would make it much easier to see whether I should intervene or not (e.g. if one country has a high level of influence in one of my SoIs but is at 'hostile' there's no need for me to do something immediately and so on.)

Personally I like it like that. You take a look over to the Western edge of the globe, and things are nuts. Brazil is expanding at a rapid pace, the USA has plummeted into a state of total war with the CSA and Mexico. Russia is trying to annex Canada.

Warning! Warning! Dogs and cats sleeping together! Half of the world has the Swine Flu! Mass Hysteria! The end is near!

This is fantastic, and now that I understand the tooltip, I suspect it will be all I'd need to make the entire process easy to monitor from the main screen.

Never seen the CSA as a GP - usually devolves into one big revolt 10 years in.

Maybe it's just weird luck, but in my Brazil game the CSA repeatedly defeated the USA. It was like Austria-Prussia, CSA got Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana in successive wars. I have seen it break free only to be absorbed later (I've seen New England do this a few times, and the NYC Commune), but not this time. And it wasn't my interference, I did nothing in north America for decades and only lately took a bit of Mexico, never fought either USA or CSA.

Anyway, fantastic update. The Outliner improvement is great.
