Might explain why the Republicans always capitulate so easily compared to the nationalists.

80% is still pretty high and the nationalists have to pretty much conquer every city from them. The main reason why they usually lose (and are supposed to) is equipment deficit and fascist volunteers. Do you had a situation where they might have come back after losing 80%? if anything I would lower the nationalists NU too because they just need to hold the north western state which is easy to do even with just volunteers

don't see why this whould be a bug.. I might be wrong but it's a balancing decission for me..

How does it add to game balance? The republicans capitulate after only losing Barcelona and Madrid, while to defeat the nationalists you pretty much have to occupy the entire country.
