Hey good morning everyone. I know there are several threads about it however it's not a complaining thread about how it works but a "find a solution" thread.

First of all i would start by saying that this is a tiny suggestion about development and government rank because i enjoy playing with both of them. So my issus is that tiny provinces coring cost can go wild espacially in late game for instance run a game in observer mode and look at the development cost of any HRE provinces in 1820.

To slightly prevent this to happen, i suggest that they make development cost function of government rank. I think this is not a big deal for HRE minors because after the first HRE reform occurs they have a -5% development cost. This is somehow kind of silly that you can find a 18 base tax minor nation while you have an 11 Paris staying the same over time.
I think this already in the game with -5% modifier on kingdoms but lets improve this modifier.

I would like to see something like : (i don't remember the title below duchy, county ? )
  • +10% development cost for minors ( below duchy )
  • 0% development cost for duchy AND Free Cities
  • -10% development cost for kingdom
  • -15% development cost for empires
This is just something in order to balance development cost. What do you guys think ?
