No achievements, but you still can't use the console or save and reload (at least not the normal way). Some people like it because it prevents them from cheating easily; it's always been like this in CK2, not sure why EU4 still doesn't have it.

In all likelyhood they will be given that only one of the existing ones isn't.

Actually, that's got me thinking. How about some more achievements locked to later start dates? Would probably get more people playing those starts, as well as opening up all sorts of new options for achievements.

Agreed. Since I almost always play Ironman (to go Achievement hunting), having them locked for only the start date really discourages me to play them considering I would much rather play later start date rather than the earliest one (like I do in Crusader Kings II).

If they were actually hard, rather than just tedious (like WC), then sure. Preferably actually hard and *not* tedious – there are very few such achievements at the moment.
Agree. Hard and not tedious are the best. I wish they would only make those kind of achievements.

What would be the definition of ironman if it allows mods?

It keeps you from cheating and still applies a challenge without the achievements?

Wait, wait. There are other start dates than 1444? Liar!

Magellan’s Voyage
Make the first circumnavigation

Do I need the DLC to do the achievement? Because I, as Spain, launched a War Galleon from Lisboa, crossed the Magellan's Strait, went all the up the West side of America, then Philippines, Maldives, Cape of Good Hope and then Lisbon again and didn't received it.

Since the "Circumnavigation" exploration mission (like all exploration missions) requires the DLC, I can only guess that the answer is "yes." Manual circumnavigation likely does not count.
