as Germany, based two ships range 3500 km in Wilhelmshaven, will give order, clicking "naval combat patrol", getting serveral aereas and one "unkown string wanted".
Clicking "unkown string wanted" it should be Central Atlantic.

Well, these "unknown string wanted" thingies are going to linger until we found them all. No way to find them automatically, at the moment.

Going to correct that one.

Known bug; I decided to let it linger for 1.10 because the fix is somewhat tricky.

You might note that, as builds complete, sometimes you can add one more than ought to be possible, but sometimes you cannot. It is a rounding issue.

air attacks only work via right click on the desired area, selecting a mission in the drop down always gives the error message "no targets in range"
Confirmed as vanilla bug. I broke a hack with the new area system.

(The responsible function assumes a certain order of areas; this worked before as areas - and therefore their order - were hardcoded. As areas are now dynamically generated, this assumption no longer holds and therefore the function breaks.)

I wanted to add something for the wishlist for 1.10, 1.11, 1.12 or 1.19...: An event command that allows to modify resource efficiency and IC efficiency separately.

Right now peace time modifier and industrial efficiency modifier do change both resource and ic efficiency by the same modifier. So does technology.

However, ministers and sliders can do it separately, just like administrative genious or central planning won't increase resources while other minister modifiers can change resources by different % each in fact.

My petition would be an event command allowing you to increase or decrease IC and resource modifiers separately.

People who do not intend to play the game on WinXP do not need to redownload. The two executables ought to be multiplayer compatible.
Checksum reported to be unchanged.

I'm a bit lost now.
AoD_Patch110: size 60,137,473 gives me the out of range air combat problem mentioned above.
AoD_Patch110: size 62,909,055 gives me the AODGame.exe that does not run because its missing file MSVCP140.dll
Please advise how to proceed, many thanks

Note to self: You do need to assign sub-version numbers. Yep, cannot be omissioned. Learned a thing the hard way, how foolish.

@MagooNZ : If the latter listed is a later downloaded one, and you try both on the same system, I am utterly lost as to how this could happen.
Every version I have published requires the VCpp redistributable which contains MSVCP140.dll. If it's not present, none should run. If it is present, none should not find it while another does.

... You could try to copy the file from your Windows directory into your game directory and see whether that changes anything. If you cannot find the file on your harddrive, do not download it from somewhere - reinstall the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable (32 bit).

I installed x64 version of Visual C++. At present the small 1.10 zip is liveable with the aircraft out of range glitch. I got the small zip from a dropbox link, as the MP game is using this version. The larger zip came from the link at your post 1 of this thread.
So I need x64 for my PC, but it appears that the larger zip is only compatible with Visual C++ x86 (32 bit). That would explain my observations. Which AOD110 zip file version corrects the aircraft out of range glitch?

You do not need an x64 version of VCpp for an x64 OS. You do need the x64 version for use in x64 programs and the x86 version for use in x86 programs.

AoD is an x86 game. It cannot make use of the x64 VCpp. If it ever became a x64 program, it could not make use of the x86 VCpp. The OS only shows what is possible, not what is required.

If any version of AoD works with a x64 installation of VCpp, that itself is a glitch. Behaviour is undefined in this case and any call* to the library may silently cause data corruption.
Which AOD110 zip file version corrects the aircraft out of range glitch?
It is fixed in the last two versions.

* - Strictly speaking not any call. Better: all possible calls are suspect until disproven. As this is not the intended use and should normally not work to begin with, no one will spend time to ascertain, which calls do and which do not work.

Having problems with this issue? Yesterday I upgraded from 1.08 to 1.09 [which worked] then to 1.10 and got the message about MSVCP140.dll being missing despite having downloaded the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable from the Windows site,. Looking at those release pages I searched my Windows and found the dll in my System32 file and copied it over. Now instead I get a "This application was unable to start correctly (0xc00007b). Click OK to close the application." Any ideas please?

I hadn't realised that I could go directly from 1.08 but since the 1.09 worked I would have thought the 1.10 would still be OK? If relevant I have a rather old system still running Wondows 7 as I couldn't stand OS 8 and have been dubious at running OS 10 yet. [Probably will have to do so as basically testing things out in preparation for getting a new lap-top which will no doubt be on 10.

Thanks in advance for any advice. I might try running again from a new copy of my old v 1.08 but can't really see it making any difference.

Sorry realised when looking again what the problem was. In a senior moment I downloaded the version 64 of the C++ rather than the v86! Now seems to be working OK.:oops:

In other, more cheerful news, if a Windows program crashes with a 0xc00007b error, this is almost guaranteed to stem from an incompatible library format (such as trying to use a x64 library in a x86 program, as happened here; should also happen if you try to feed a PowerPC-targeted library into a x86 program).

Might be a useful bit of knowledge, considering how obscure those error codes usually are.

Three things which I'm hoping the team will get to someday.

1. Being able to convert divisions from one type to another.

2,. Multiple brigades from land divisions.

3. Being able to send blueprints to non-allies.

As someone that knows a bit of programming 2 & 3 might "easy" work. But #1 whit the current game engine i dont see that happening easily. I can think of a few ways to do it but end result is not worth it. There are several major proplems in all the solutions i can up whit to get #1 to work.

Well it depends on how the code is writen. Whitout knowing how the code is writen its impossible to say 100%. In best case its change 1 number, worst case rewriting the entire Division code.

Do note that Zsar1 is doing the work for free as far as i know, so be polite and dont put too meny feature requests up at the same time.

What version of the game do I need to install this patch? I have the.. 1.07 I quess cause I have the Steam version of the game.
