Not sure if its WAD but having a conquistador exploring inside inca, start a war somewhere else, colonist goes exile, really annoying when you have to run back across a whole continent just to explore again
It was always like that. When starting a war all troops that are not in owned/controlled/enemy territory go in exile.
It is to prevent nations from asking for access from a nation bordering their target, to then declare war and jump the enemy with doomstacks before they got their army or maintenance together.

I see it a lot when moving troops around in the HRE when i'm in a war with the emperor(access to all HRE), and start a new war.
If we make a special case for conquistadors, then every army leader will be a conquistador to use this feature :p

So as usual, no body at Paradox actually tested any of this, or hell, even opened the game after updates.

I can confirm this, AE gained doesent match the amount you are told to get from the peace deal aswell. Was told to get 39 AE with Hansa but got 21. Again another broken patch, beta testing hello??

The thing was that this was at least supposed to be changed so that countries could continue exploring when issuing declarations of war. In fact, I thought that 1.9 even removed DOWing exiling units in unowned land.

Apparently provincial base attrition has been removed from all terrain types, and is now solely decided by climate and supply limit.

It didn't. Happened like two days ago for me.
It would be nice if explorers were immune to becoming exiled, but i don't see an easy non-exploitable fix for it.
If missions for exploring were introduced as well to explore everywhere, i guess any unit on auto-explore could be made immune.

I'm not sure if this was 'in' the patch notes, but nations that don't border you (nor have sea connections) can join coalitions. I just had Frankfurt join and they aren't anywhere near my vassals or allies. So another 'yay' for a good change (non-bordering nations with 300 AE couldn't join coalitions before, that was silly).

Wasn't it always like this? Nations not bordering/coastal couldn't start coalitions, but I thought they could join them.

Apparently if you enable any mod, Random New World gets disabled.
If you're running windows 8.1 try running the exe in administrator mode, worked for me anyways(finally can randomize the new world with my mods activated.)

Should be noted for whatever reason, when I start the game from my steam library I still can't randomize the new world with mods activated. But when I go into the local files and run the exe directly with administrator mode everything works just fine, including the steam overlay.

Don't think so. I've played a lot less with the coalition mechanics than I'd care to admit, but I can't recall any nation that didn't border me or have a port joining a coalition vs me in quite awhile.

Yep. Made a custom nation out of some Morocco territory and got it very quickly. It wasn't in my initial set of missions (as they were not yet rivaled), but after rivaling them and completing one mission, it showed up immediately.

It was for their gold province, too :D

I think I have spotted an unintentional side effect, as Inca when conquering provinces from colonial nations those provinces don't give you any OE as though they were your own colonies.

I don't think it was mentioned yet that Austria(/the Emperor) as your ally now won't join any offensive war inside the HRE. It gets a -1000 block for being Emperor when you try to call them in.
