Hotfix for the 1.10 patch to address some high priority issues, primarily balance problems with Liberty Desire and feedback in regards to exploration. We'll also be looking into ways to improve the exploration interface for the next proper patch.

- Japanese Daimyos no longer start at high liberty desire in 1444.
- After Privilegia is revoked, Imperial vassals will no longer have hundreds of liberty desire from relative power to liege.
- AI now gets the correct amount of attrition.
- Manual exploration is now enabled for everyone.
- Fixed a bug that was causing countries warning you to be called in even when not declaring war on their neighbours.
- Europe will now properly get tradegoods in Custom Setup.
- Fixed some inconsistencies in Aggressive Expansion between tooltip and actual effect.
- Disabled most nation forming decisions for Custom Nations to prevent player-made AI nations from tag switching.
- Consolidate Regiments button will correctly enable to let you maximize the number of full strength regiments (as it was before).

Could you please list the changed files? I'm in the process of updating my mod for 1.10

Always good to see quick hotfixes.

I've noticed some weirdness with the nation designer where it seems to have trouble handling the metadata- if I create a 1st custom nation, save it, create a 2nd custom nation, save it, and then go back to modify the 1st, the 1st's name will default to the 2nd's.

Also, what the new custom setup options really show the need for is the ability to save scenarios that you create in the lobby directly as bookmarks. I don't know if this is possible given the game's current data structure, but you can spend a lot of time fine-tuning up to 30 custom nations and then have to go through that process all over again if you want to start over.

Am I the only one who can't seem to be able to download the hotfix on steam? I've tried to revalidate the cache, restart steam, delete and reinstall the game, but I still don't get the right checksum. I'm on 64-bit Linux.

Will there also be a hotfix for custom nation colonial nations? All of my colonial nations have the rebel flag/region color combo as their flag instead of custom nation flag/region color. I'm currently playing a Colony-focused game and it's quite bothersome.

I really hope you continue to develop the exploration missions. I think with some tweaks it will be both very practical and tremendously immersive! Just of the top of my head I think an extra tab where you can select entire regions and then the explorer will queue up all available missions in that region would be just the right amount of micro. I would also support being limited by colonial range, if the current mission interface hadn't been so messy.

Manual exploration is so much more efficient, that auto exploration needs a lot of hardcore bonuses to override that. I favour that game should keep both systems. For those who like auto explore and for those who go manually. Both options should stay.

Also Vassalfeed is nerfed to the ground already. Vassal liberty desire should be tweaked. A lot.
I defy your accusation that manual exploration is more efficient. South America completely explored by 1525. North America, by 1564. Only one 5-stack was used. And the only time I really had to hand-hold that army was when it accidentally became black-flagged due to warring in Europe while it was passing through a Native province. Auto-explore blows manual exploration completely out of the water in terms of efficiency. And aside from that, what better bonus could you possibly want? I've gotten so many events that give me 50 monarch points in any given category that I'd almost say it's overpowered. There is absolutely no reason not to use the auto-explore feature.

I would like you to reconsider not allowing us to form nations as custom nations, and also, not allowing us to switch idea sets when it is normally possible.

- DHEs are thus not an option for your custom nation.
- Flavor is totally gone, until we can customize the flavor text on our custom ideas.
- Its not like the system is balanced anyway.

I think they said they are going to come back to the idea over time. IMO its better to start from square one instead of making everyone stick with the system while they retool it. Its not a failure, its listening to customers and responding. That decision convinced me to buy the DLC after I saw it, because I appreciated their willingness to respond to players.

You're confusing Naval exploration and Land exploration. Manual-mode has always been available for land, as well as the newer style; what's been reinstated is the ability to explore the seas manually as well as through the missions.

I defy your accusation that manual exploration is more efficient. South America completely explored by 1525. North America, by 1564. Only one 5-stack was used. And the only time I really had to hand-hold that army was when it accidentally became black-flagged due to warring in Europe while it was passing through a Native province. Auto-explore blows manual exploration completely out of the water in terms of efficiency. And aside from that, what better bonus could you possibly want? I've gotten so many events that give me 50 monarch points in any given category that I'd almost say it's overpowered. There is absolutely no reason not to use the auto-explore feature.

I play Korea. I beeline and manually explore cape. Portugal has colony there. I ask fleet basig rights. I continue exploring.

Now can you do that with autoexplore mission based thing?

You can mod them back in if you want.


You can mod nearly anything "back in". But we want Ironman.

Nope. And you're not supposed to be able to anymore because your navies are now hindered by your colonial range cap. Most likely designed to cut down on blatantly ridiculous feats like yours.
