I am under the impression that research gets stored when researching an alien contact and then gets used at twice the speed afterwards? so no research points are wasted?
While researching the first alien contact when i have +5 society research each month, the game stores up 5 the first month, but then only 1 the next, 1 the next again and so forth.
Is this a bug or as designed?
Oh, and you can still research the contacts in parallel. I heard that was not the intention?
