1. Less Fatmid invasion of Greece. This seriously bugs me as in every game I play the Fatmids eventually wind up with Greece despite having several more avalable and obvious routes of expansion they attempt an invasion of Greece every couple of decades.

2. A way for Orthodox rulers to have an invasion CB against an entire kingdom like every other religion currently has.

3. The Roman Empire to be a title creatable by anyone who controls the designated amount of land and titles

4. Upon creation of the Roman Empire the New Roman Emperor would gain ducal level CBs against the HRE and ERE and they would be given the same CB against the new emperor.

5. Faction revolts don't spawn massive armies and don't gain massively unfair advantages when at war.

I'd like to see cities as a forth holding type. They should be non-buildable and they should be holdable by anyone, feudal, republic or theocratic. They should give stature to the really special places on the map like Constantinople, Rome, Bagdad, etc. This way Constantinople will be able to generate a large chunk of cash and Rome won't be defended with walls of tissue paper.

What'd the Republican holding be then? Trade Posts? Village?

Ok. I have another one after playing a little last night. It's a little too easy to usurp you kingdom imo. I think there should be a penalty modifier or something like that when you call people to arms to rebel against their liege.

Still just city, but the newer city type would have more fluid de jure control.
Actually, I think that if Republics are made playable, measures should be taken to keep the player in the game even if he loses election. So more gameplay, related to trading, should be added if all holdings are lost. I can't imagine that most merchant families held the office of Lord Mayor or Doge successively (correct me if I'm wrong- but know that some incidents don't make me wrong).

One more thing if not already done:

Please make sure government type sticks with the claim a claimant has (possibly along with succession law). Claimants by virtue of descent from a previous king shouldn't have to become bishops just because a single king-bishop was made at some point. It should revert to normal when the claimant wins.

Also, I think someone landless being installed as a king should get more than one county to be his territorial base and should also have a truce with his downgraded predecessor or receive the predecessor as a jailed prisoner to prevent an insta-reacquisition.

This is extremely important for anybody who roleplays the dynastic stuff.

Call them towns, leave them exactly as is. I'd like trading posts too but I'm dreaming small here, cities would be a small fix. Didn't even occur to me the name was already taken because I already think of cities as towns since so many of the holdings in the game definitely didn't amount to cities in this era.

More succession laws! Especially for the Muslims, it's appallingly dull how they only have one! More would help to add some color to Europe and increase the variability between ones games. It's not difficult to brainstorm for a little while and think up plenty:

* Survival of the fittest: Child with the highest combined total of Martial and Diplomacy skill inherits.
* Ultimogeniture: Youngest child inherits (how Genghis Khan actually inherited his titles).
* Plutocracy: Richest dynasty member.
* Majestic Inheritance: Most prestigous dynasty member.
* Serene Inheritance: Most pious dynasty member.
* Anarchic: The ruler (count/duke/king) with highest demense [could come with a +30% demense increase as with gavelkind].

Some of these would be more or less fictional, whilst others would help increase the realism of the game, as with the case of ultimogeniture. It would also help ease the transition to playable pagans, republics and pagans.

Being able to send sons to the Church without breaking Papal Investiture. Then they pop up as bishops somewhere in their country after being schooled.
And the ability to send daughters to the nunnery... even if it is purely cosmetic.

I second these. I really don't want to have to try to marry off my Scholarly Theologian daughter with a harelip to someone. She would probably be happier and do more good in a cloister!

This. It would make the game so much more interactive.

It would allow for the House of Plantagenet, House of Valois struggle with the House of Bourbon, a War of the Roses type thing.

And not only that, following the games mechanics, most of Europe would ruled by House Capet by the end of 18th century (although Louis XVI was tried as "Louis Capet," ), the UK would be ruled by what, House of Wettin? House of Welf?

I realize it's mostly cosmetic, the only real change would be that this guy over there wouldn't be my kinsman because we shared a relative ten generations ago, and dynastic shields changing (hopefully).

I'm angry that the Count of Kildare thinks he's still House Mathrafal. We haven't had a relative in 280 years. You are not my relative.

i like this, too, also would like more options with events, especially assassination, i'd like to be able to not approve the plan

It would also make things a little easier for Muslims. I hope we do get cadet branches
