Senseless and unplausible. Imagine you were the vassal, would you like that. Its a vassals vassal not yours. Feudal nations based on a feudal contract.

Solution to your problem:
You can though create a title claim on your direct vassal, revoke his upper title, so his vassals wil become yours. Voila !
...or make him revolt, crush and revoke.

What I meant was revoking a vassal of a vassal as in transferring a vassal to you directly from under another vassal.

Something, anything that stops the Fatimids from invading Sicily/Greece/Anatolia so playing as Sicily/Greek Doux lasts more than 40 years if you're lucky.

Holy Wars need some work, too. If you're playing in Spain you have to rush the Muslims to get as much land before France/HRE comes and steals it all. Can't comment on playing as a Muslim in Spain but I can only assume it's annoying because of the eventual French/HRE intervention.

It's still not your vassal. That's why you can't get a vassal, while still being able giving one away.
If you can give me one or two historic examples of your idea, i may change my conclusion.
All historical examples i know of happened after a war with a direct vassal or an imprisonment after a discovered plot and a (ingame free) revocation of its upper title.

The only problem i see is when a vassal has several upper titles (like several duke titles), while you still get only one free revocation.
Though don't do non-dejure vassals (not below any of his upper titles) then become your direct vassals anyway if you take his primary title ? Not sure.
I think so, if they were below that primary title before.

On vassals' vassals, I would just want the ability to "express" my interest in changing something about them. I would like to be able to tell their lieges (my vassals) that so-and-so is not Catholic (as a Catholic lord) and ask that something be done about it. Since they are Catholic, it sure is in their interests as well.

I think what that person is getting at is that one of their DeJure duchy vassals is a vassal to another duke, while said duke is their king vassal. They want some way to plot to get the DeJure vassal to be transferred to them, or force the vassal transfer on their vassal. A forced Vassal transfer request actually doesn't sound too bad to me.

Even then, imagine you are an HREs' Duke and want to conquer more land inside the HRE. You then would need the according dejure title first before conquering counties.
As if you wouldnt, your liege in return would ask you to give the county back to the according dejure liege. How annoying would that be ?!
Historically that wouldnt make sense as well, as lower vassals than Kings or even Dukes were forging papers/claims to gain more land, though they might not have needed to go to war then.
The borders weren't nice and tidy at all.

PS: The only exception i could think of, if Absolute authority would be made very tough to implement, that in case of achieving absolute crown authority, you could get this option.
Still not sure if its in any way historical or/and plausible by the existing laws/practices back then. IMHO, i don't think so.

PS2: its also very nice having chaotic borders, as vassals will hate each other and get distracted from hating you. ;)

They also continuously wage war on each other, with seriously weaken you realm.

As Byzantine Emperor (my king is Basque), I had to defend against Fatamid's 44K stack with only 36K of the 68K available levies because of my vassals' inner realm wars (although I already had high crown authority).

Fix de jure kingdom laws applying to independent counties and duchies. If these are vassals of another, non de-jure king it makes (sorta) sense they follow the laws of the de-jure kingdom, but if they are independent then they are a gazillion more authority on the local populace than a foreign king of a foreign kingdom. The situation in south Italy is a glaring example.
Then there are other quirks with this system. The most controversial point in my opinion is that of free investiture vs papal investiture. Historically we've had the whole guelph vs ghibellines stuff instead in CK2 if the Emperor decides for one or the other all vassals will abide. A bit too abstract/simplistic IMHO. At least if you are a vassal you can plot or maybe start a faction or something, paradoxically if you are independent you can't do anything about the decision of someone you potentially couldn't care less.

It's pretty bad when vassal levies are depleted because of plot wars, but well you have to take care of that.
An attempt to balance/nerf/weaken plot wars between vassals depending on crown laws would make more sense than go the above dicussed way IMHO.
What you mentioned are the joys of being an emperor.

I'd like to be able to make women into councilors under Absolute Cognatic. They can be landed nobles, but not councilors, which doesn't make that much sense to me. Also, why does every single male hate female rulers and female heirs? There should be some kind of limit to that outside of dynasty. I get that the world was sexist in that period, but if a realm is ruled that way, and well, for long enough, I'd think at least some of them would get over it.

It would be nice if there was some bonus to being the child of a universally beloved ruler for vassals not of your dynasty. The fact that the relationships get reset is very strange. If my previous ruler had nearly 100 opinion with all his vassals, there should be some level of transfered respect to the son or daughter, even if it can be lost easily.

Also, it would be interesting to add a 'seduction' option which would allow you to use your intrigue score and their opinion of you to attempt to start a relationship to create a bastard. If you fail there would be a chance that the person would tell other people what you tried to do, and you'd get a penalty of some kind.

Not quite, what I'm talking about is if the Emperor is the duke of Bavaria, and there is a count in Bavaria with no other lands, but that count is a vassal of another duke. I'd like to "kindly" tell that duke that I should be the lord of those within my DeJure lands of Bavaria.

Fix the aftermath of mongol invasion. when the mongol empires collapse (if ever collapse) the mongol dukes/count sit there like nothing happened. Need chain events that change cultures, overthrow leftover mongol rulers etc etc.

Nizzam, the Chancellor, Steward and Spymaster all-in-one :)

^^ That would be nice indeed, although I think, his historical work would be best represented by giving him the title of a Grandvizier. I was a bit surprised, that he is missing in game right now, but as it seems, none of the important chancellors/councillors of the rulers of these period are integrated in the game. But I have to look into the game at a few starting points to make that sure. El Cid for example is in the game, but this might be an exception.

But hey... Is stats are to low! But grey eminence is correct. And his dead date is also wrong...

Cant find him though in the Seljuks' court. But I think, courts are generally not modelled after history. At game start, the vassals with the best stats are put into the court and neither are people like Suger of Saint-Denis or Thomas Beckett or Guillamue de Nogaret or or or represented as coutiers.

Some are. There is a command "give_job_title". Some characters in the historyfile use it.

And yes he isn't in the court of the Seljuks, because there isn't a command, that Alp Arslan is his liege. So he is somewhere random in the persian world. But he is there.
