We need a lot more plots anyway, implicating someone for murder is a good start. It's that extra level of intrigue that the game needs

Bavaria had special status; if you want it removed from De Jure lists, the ck2plus mod makes it titular (so requires Bavaria and two other duchies).
I would roll thuringian and franconian together, and rename Swabian alemanic, but I've argued for that elsewhere.
The problem of having only stem duchies is that halfway through the game, there's no more dukes of Swabia or Thuringia and the duchy of Franconia is a courtesy title of the prince-bishop of Würzburg, who had virtually no power over the other franconian princes. And the dukes of Saxony are in Zeitz and Meissen. Unless dukes which actually existed by end game get a way to make titular duchies, this can't work. It would be the equivalent of limiting english duchies to only anglosaxon earldoms because that's what they have at game start.
Saxons should be a different culture from the rest of the Germans. This should make the Saxon revolts possible and model that the Saxons had a separate language.
It was probaly a bit more about the different culture in ruling, being opposed to feudalism than the language.![]()
Hence the "and".
Thats indeed true. I have never wanted on ly Stem Duchies. Historically, these large Duchies were splitted into smaller duchies. Only the Duchy of Bavaria managed to survive the Middle Ages, after being splitted a few times, too. I think, in the beginning, there should be these Duchies: Bavaria, Svabia, Saxonia as Stem Duchies and perhaps Frankonia, too. But Frankonia was under control of the Emperor himself at this time. Later in the game, there would be the possibilityy, that the Duchies split into the other Duchies like Meissen, Brunswick, etc. etc.
Most important in my opinion are different German cultures, similar to the Stem Duchies.
Also, the Archbishoprics of Cologne and Mainz are unhistorically weak. In RL, they ofte were the initiators of the opposition against the Emperor.
Same thing with the Italian cities in North Italy.
I see a lot of other possibilities to weaken the HRE without the game becoming historically unadequate.
Vassals that would prefer to be under the invading liege (same religion when current liege does not, for example) when their primary title is declared for in a foreign war should be able to offer to join the invading kingdom in the war. Please please Paradox.
De jure or normal vassals should provide either full levies when their territory is specifically declared for in a foreign war or they should raise their troops to join the Kingdom doomstack.
Allow Liege's to join their vassal's internal wars (or at least try to, the vassal can always refuse)...
Let the liege help support their vassals against revolting sub-vassals if they choose to...
I agree with the person who asked for moar events.
