I'm way to lazy to read 320 posts right now so sorry if these requests are repeated.

First above all else is for the regents to gain more power. On multiple occasions in different play throughs I have found myself as the Regent of one kingdom or duchy. Each time I never really notice any additional control or options. I would like to see this aspect of the game further fleshed out.

Secondly, I would like for there to be a duel system in the game. Kind of like what the AGOT mod had done. It would add more depth to the game I believe. Especially for those upset victories where with one swing of a sword a lowly baron cuts down the King causing a massive civil war.

Lastly, I would not mind seeing the raise your stat ambitions more flushed out. Maybe add some more different versions of the events. I have gotten the same rebuilding an inn for stewardship and helping reconcile two fighting families for diplomacy each and every time.

I'd be fine with that, or anything that at least attempts to simulate the actual political realities of the succession of the Empire.

There's a reason that bookmark is called “The Alexiad.” Maybe throw in a victorious modifier for a general who wins a major battle, and a defeated modifier to a ruler who loses a major war, hand off a weak claim to a suitable victorious character, and start a faction to put him on the throne. If the liege is weak and unpopular, there’s a good chance his vassals will back the coup.

This givea a ruler some real tension — he needs to win the war, he can hardly do that without winning battles and capturing land, but he needs to be very careful that he can trust his generals.

Matrilineal agnatic would probably work better for a pagan expansion, but if there was a chance it could be added for pagans it would be grand (Canarias and I think the baltic and finnish tribes used this iirc)

I think it might work better to simply have a defined marriage preference for each culture or religion. This says what type of marriage is the default and most common, and whether or not the other can be practiced. Right now Chirstian nations favor regular marriage, but allow matrilineal. The one you're proposing would favor matrilineal and either allow or disallow regular marriage.

more plots would be good maybe a plot where you can ask your son or other family members to go on a advnture the results are random based offf how much money give them how meny troops you allow him to take , his traits and if he or she likes you. maybe when we get republics they could come back with a new trade route to make money, if a plot to maybe build ships only for trade if u have trade routes unlocked the ships will sail to the ports ect when turned on automatic sailing the routes untill turned off , or do blockcades of trade routes. we could do all kinds of things, i know the adventures were taken out before release i used that idea to come up with this idea.

maybe a plot to marry of family members to other empire for trade routes or a number of other things.

event chain sending someone to china filled with options with choices with or with out china on the current map how ever if we open china and japan to the map that be fun tooo.

maybe events like before u get married a box pops up with options like in a feast ect... based on what you choose will afected how she likes you ect.

or a event where you form your own round table and can give out the title of knights to a set number.

give members of one's council ,more options or event chain or plots specific to that position.

other then a mods allowing women to serve on a council other then spymaster.

more options for ones allies.

more/new types of buildings.

rework the menu for giving out titles, like if i give a country to someone and own the De Jure a menu i can give them the De Jure in one click not going through every holding i have to give them it.

add some kinda fear factor ruling under Tyranny ruler should do something then just be negitive not every ruler was nice they ruled with a iron fist using fear to keep ppl in check , if your a very mean mean person your going to have wars running out the yin yang as it stands now.

if someone u know is locked away mabe a event where you can rescue them or address that ruler with money if they have not set him up for ransom yet.

reworking the Demesne , maybe some of us want to try and build a empire an conqor the whole map.

since the pope will be someone we can never play, some of us do, he needs tweeking and changes even if he stays a mpc as it is right now he has no real power in this time in history the pope had alot of power and influence also add the college of cardinals where you can get your priest as a cardinal or a son doing plots bribing ect to get your son or other priest as pope this has happened in real life some people bought themselves the papacy. and bring the college into elect the pope. maybe working it so a son or someone else is apart of the college and they get elected pope . the pope can stay npc but having a son as the pope might be fun

allow us to play as a merc leader to be hired ect... when the time is right attempt to over throw the ruler to install yourself.

goals/achievements feature , I think it would be cool to have a list of goals/achievements you can pre select before your game starts
lets call them main goals, you are allowed to start with few main goals if you achieve them you get some kinda bonus added to your score, and to your guy/gilr your playing as. after you ment your goals in game you can select new goals from a list ect and if you die beofre completing this goal your heir might make it their mission to finish it or be obsessed with it .. i do this on paper before a game but would be cool to have this in the game someone can see that they did something and show it

i know this was tken out still it , a chronicle with annual entries of you and all your heirs something we can take screen shots of and share it can be like a aar showing who was born when, when you got married when and who you went to war with, all kinds of things

a more detailed game over screen with some new writing of what happend after you died ect... more then jjust showing prestige and a few words that really need work

retweek the crusade system more

re-working how Assassination

Next i think we should take into account the rank of the target, location of the target, how fortified the location is that the target is in. made maybe some options on how one can do a assassination like an event series where it happens at a feast. bribe the cup barrier to slip some poision, paying off a guard ect.... make it more of a challenge or more fun not just i have alot of money so let me mass spam untill the target is dead

It'd be awesome if the Alans were given the Altaic buildings and combat tactics. There's currently no Christian steppe nomads at game start (not counting the small Khazar remnant under the Cumans, which really should be Jewish), which historically the Alans were (though it's possible that they had mostly settled down by the game start - it's hard to find good detailed information about their later history), and I think it would be a fun option to have. As of now, the Alans are just meh.

And, more importantly, I want to make the steppes Indo-European again dammit, and not as one of those pathetic farmer tribes!

EDIT: Um, what else do I want. AFAIK medieval Russia was more known for its cavalry than its infantry, so it'd be nice to have that reflected in their cultural buildings now that they're getting a bit of attention, what with the DLC's and all.

Implement some kind of analogue for the Baqt and the relatively cool relationship between Ethiopian Christians and the Muslim world. At the very least, their cultural buildings and bonuses should give them benefits to mountain combat, so that they can better hold off invaders.

Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease fix the Fatimids. Give them extra decadency, debt, castrate and blind them, whatever it takes.

Aaand... that's it for now.

If you think they’re a blob in 1066, just see what they’re like in the 10th century. Or the Abbasids in the 9th.

Abbasids in the 9th century aren't a blob. They can't be called a blob.

They're half of CKII's map.

I don't really care for starting after the earliest starting date though. Plus this is a thing that runs throughout all of Byzantine history, and thus a mechanic in place to at least attempt to simulate it would really be appreciated for flavor alone, let alone game reasons. But yes, your idea is a good idea to simulate it in general, or something else similar.

Alexios Komnenos is in the game at the earliest starting date. He’s the ten-year-old Doux of Paphlagonia.

I know, what I'm saying is that you can't launch a palace-coup against the reigning Emperor if the Byzzies lose the initial Seljuk war. In nearly every-game, even if Greece itself is taken, the Doukas family stay in power, and it really bugs me.

Alexios Komnenos is in the game at the earliest starting date. He’s the ten-year-old Doux of Paphlagonia.

Although without modding, he doesn't have a claim on the Byzantine Empire until the 1072 start date. Which is kind of stupid, because the 1066 has no claimants to the throne except for some girl married to a Russian duke somewhere, yet you move a few years up and some claimants start popping up.

The game doesn’t try to railroad history into happening the way it did; but if you’re playing him, it should be very possible to get him on the throne.

Also, the Mamluks should be able to revolt in this period.

I do believe Alexios - or someone in his family - should have a strong claim on the Empire, as the last Emperor right before Constantine X was Alexios' uncle, and I don't think this railroads history - at least it onnly railroads history as much as Svend of Denmark having a claim on England.

At the least there should be more claimants for the Byzantines at game start - there's a couple relatives of Constantine Monomachos still running around, as well as a few powerful generals, who perhaps should at least get weak claims. I did that for my own mod, and it makes things much more interesting for the Byzantines - it leads to claimant wars in the first couple of decades (sometimes even longer) after the Seljuk War, and the dynasties actually shift for once instead of the Doukas sitting in Constantinople eternally.
