Iceland is indpendent in the game until 1264, though it is not a republic. Instead it has Haukadalurætten as dukes, which to me does not make any sense. Isn't that just a random noble family with no higher status than the others?
I would say it's to let people play as Iceland.

- Trade system with trade goods.
- Enhanced republic to Monarch interaction.
- Naval combat
- River sailing
- Turn back time and introduce the Norse with proper features such as tings, raids, invasion of Christendom, etc.
- Layered de jure territories (Example: Roman Empire covering all the old lands, Byzantine Empire all its old lands, Western Roman Empire all its old lands, Frankish Empire all its old lands - at the same time. It would make for continuous border disputes between two kingdoms or empires, Denmark and Germany at Holsten for example.)
- Allowing for culturally dependent province+title names.
- More empire-building mechanics such as reforms and a move away from Feudalism in the later game.
- Privileges, allow a duke certain privileges such as attacking a foreign power or have his titles inherited by foreigners, or guarantee a title to always stay within a certain dynasty. Relations bonus as a result.
- Tyranny, allow a monarch to impose tyranny on his vassals, such as limiting a title to certain religions or cultures, take away the privilege to fight other vassals, etc. Province revolt increase and/or relations malus as a result.
- Allow an increase in maximum province holdings by tech... (my edit)
- New holding types for tribes which cannot be used by civilized people without a income malus....(my edit)
That's all for now. :D

Okay every single one of those seem like a lot of fun. Especially the Norse feature & privileges/tyranny.

I'd like a 'de jure claim all'. Having to go to war for one county at a time to re-establish the Roman Empire with the Byzantines is driving me insane.
Or perhaps de-jure wars could be changed to duchy-level wars, so you will be able to take over several counties at once but not be able to take over entire kingdoms.

It would be nice, if a minor thing of the elective monarchy could be changed.

If there were an option to bribe your vassals, so that they vote for your nominee.
Even though some of my vassals like my monarch +100, but won't vote for my
nominee. Most likely, because they like another person more.
But to buy their vote -even for a hight price- would be great. And that was a
very common thing in the medieval times.

And thanks to the whole paradox team for this awesome game :D

A DeJure CB that lets me take all of the holdings in a province that I own but don't control the lesser holdings for if they're owned by the same person. Waiting for truces just to grab a single holding from a foe that isn't a push over is really annoying.

1) A whole, new cadet branch system. Possibly rework it slightly so on the dynasty panel on a characters page, there is a large shield representing the parent dynasty, and below that is a smaller shield representing the cadet branch (If it is a senior-line character it would be the same as the parent dynasty). The cadet branch would be the 'official' house-name of the character, for example when you mouse over the name it would have Charles de Valois, if his cadet branch is de Valois/of Valois.

2) The chance for unlanded Noble's/Courtiers/Knight's to be granted the spoils of a Crusade. This is especially true for the result of the first Crusade, Godfrey de Bouillon was one of the main factors that lead to the Christian's of Europe winning the Crusade. This could possibly be worked in by factoring the head of a crusading armies martial skill and his actual contribution to winning battles. This would also make for some actual independent Kingdom of Jerusalem's, instead of England, France or HRE ending up with lands in the Levant.

3) More Barons :p

I actually prefer vanilla over any mod out today. The following, I think, could improve vanilla even more:

1) Please tweak Crusades. Ideally, the new crusader kingdom would become independent and have a chance of survival.
2) Please find a way to control blobbing to some degree. It's getting better, but you still see France, the HRE, and various Scandinavian countries going hog wild in North Africa, Spain, and the Baltic.

I leave new features/content in your more than capable hands. But the two above things would greatly help!

I'd very much like an 'Embark All' button to load multiple armies onto ships at once so that I don't have to click the mouse button fifty times every time I want to go to war.

Same, at least for the major mods. Sometimes I use that Pulchra Map mod for some visual flavor, but that's more or less it.

On topic, I want to see more dynamic revolts. The peasants should be able to have factions, EUIV's "rebels with a cause" thing would be lovely. Vlach revolts should attempt to break away from the Pechengs and to put a Vlach ruler on their throne. The way that cultures just sit down, roll over and get converted right now is silly.

Interesting ideas, however Godfrey of Bouillon is a somewhat confusing example, since though he had sold most of his possessions, he did stay duke of Lower Lotharingia and so he's not the random landless noble. Godfrey is an example of landed nobles going on a crusade, who need to sell lands to do so, but he wasn't a random landless noble.
Nonetheless I really like these ideas. :)

General Game Balance reworking.....Mongol,Fatimid,HRE Tweaks. No more 100K Deathstacks,Retinues Tweaked(figure out a way for 500 holding empires(HRE) having 1 million man levies by 1200.which unbalances everything)

Agree.

Also:

1. Ability to truncate lists of people depending on traits. Even better a boolean search (Not / And / Or)

2. ADDIT: okay I remember now. The little symbols indicating that (a) a betrothal/marriage would yield an alliance, and the other ones (b) would accept an invitation to court are quite helpful.

In the spirit of that, there are a number of 'shopping for agreements/relationships' situations where something similar might be neat. The only example I can think of off the top of my head is: Will agree to a matrilineal marriage with one of our vassal dynasty members.

3. There was a CK1 mod that allowed you to "Find new Chancellor/Steward/Marshal/Spymaster" type of functions. I cannot recall the specifics but it managed to work fairly well without being unbalancing.

Oops, yeah I didn't realize he still held the Duchy of lower Lotharingia, I was under the presumption that with the selling of his land came the forfeit of his Duchy/non-landed titles. Also what I forgot to mention for point no. 1 was that possibly the cadet branch's coat of arms could be generated based on the mother and fathers parent dynasty's coat of arms, so If an English cadet of house Plantagenet were to marry a French Princess of Capet, the coat of arms of the resulting child(s) would be halved between the two like you see very often. This could theoretically keep going until you get to sixteenths and etc, although it would probably be best to create some sort of natural limit.

Titular Empires. Russia, Scandinavia, Hispania/Iberian union, Francia. and GB need to be Titular. There needs to be a Titular Italian empire. Persia needs to regain its Empire status. Just a suggestion.
